TRAVEL WITH MY ART #9: MALA STINIVA BAY AGAIN!

Image
Hello and welcome to ninth edition of TRAVEL WITH MY ART series. Guess what! Today we will (re) visit a destination I have already illustrated: bay Mala Stiniva on island Hvar. Can you blame me for wanting to paint this magnificent bay again? I don't think you can. This little bay is so inspiring that I might paint it all over again. I mean there are many beautiful bays and beaches on island Hvar, but this one truly took my breath away. Something about the blueness of the sea water against the whiteness of cliffs really took my breath away. Those high cliffs almost look like they were carved by human hand. A cousin of mine told me that the views are even more magnificent when you sail into this little bay. I can only imagine how it must feel to sail into Mala Stiniva bay by a boat or a yacht. We didn't sail into it, rather we used our feet but we were mesmerized all the same. Scroll down to see and read more.  I will never forget the first time I had visited bay Mala Stiniva. ...

17 WAYS TO STYLE A PAIR OF BLUE FLARED JEANS

Hello friends, how are you? I'm alright, albeit a bit tired. I have been struggling with insomnia lately and frankly it's been exhausting. However, last night I managed to get my eight hours of sleep and I'm feeling better already. Therefore, I'm back with a new post. This time I will show you 17 ways to style a pair of flared jeans. When it comes to jeans, I prefer bell bottom and flare cut. I suppose that the same can be said for trousers. I don't have a lot of straight cut trousers, mostly they are of wide or flared design. I don't have a single pair of skinny jeans and never plan to wear them. I remember tha...

TRAVEL WITH MY ART #8, SUCURAJ, ISLAND HVAR ( CROATIA)

Time for another edition of  Travel with My Art.   The reason why I decided to start this feature on my blog was to give people an opportunity to travel with my art. Sure, we can travel digitally with photographs and videos, but there is something special about seeing a painting of a place and knowing that it was painted or illustrated. Every art medium brings something special to the game and gives us another opportunity to try to capture what we feel with our soul. As much as I appreciate, love and respect photography as an art form, I think that I will always be more a painter than a photographer. I shared a lot of my photograph (as well as those of my husband) on this blog, but I also share a lot of my art.   I illustrated different places and locations in the past, but something about this pandemic and the inability (of most people) to travel made me realize that perhaps I should dig into it a bit more. So far, I have illustrated mostly places and locations that...
