Hello dear readers! Today I'm sharing a study of Michelangelo's Pieta with you. I did this study with watercolour pencils (Staedtler brand, not sponsored). I first sketched it and then added water with a brush. I completed the painting in January but I waited until now to post it because it didn't seem appropriate to post it around Christmas and NYE related holidays. Today is Holy Saturday, so I would say that my timing is pretty correct. I will post something more cheerful for Easter day. Anyhow, I used a photograph from a book about Vatical as a reference. I had the pleasure to visit Vatican and Rome myself (read more about my visit here , here , here ). I remember being very moved by this statue. Hello! It's time for another Friday Fashion illustration. See the last post in my fashion illustrating series here . This time I'm sharing an illustration of an outfit I actually wore. This fashion illustration wasn't without dilemmas. I sketched it with watercolour pencils and added water like I usually do, but it looked too plain so I added some finishing touches with acrylic paints. In the end, it turned out alright. I would probably change some things if I were to do it again.  I didn't really settle for one photograph as a reference but did a looser impression of the outfit. If I were to paint this outfit again, I would  probably choose one photograph and stick with it. Anyhow, I revamped the illustration for my redbubble art shop by editing it with some of my rose art and titled it A Girl Lost in Roses .  Hello readers! Today we're continuing with Travel With My Art series (see my last post in this category here ).  I'm sharing a watercolour sketch of a ship with you. I sketched this one while sipping coffee at Kalafatic restaurant  (#notsponsored) in Split. Zenta marine is one of my favourite places in Split city. That probably doesn't come as a surprise to you. Not just because I blogged about it quite a few times, but because boats are such a frequent motif in my painting. So, obviously Zenta is a perfect place to look for inspiration.
