FASHION FRIDAY ILLUSTRATION AND ART UPDATE: BAY TORAC

Image
Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! How's life been treating you? I'm currently in Croatia. Today I'll share with you some new watercolour sketches I made while visiting bay Torac on island Hvar. My Fridays are usually about fashion illustrations but today I'll share some landscape photography with you as well. I made all of these watercolour pencil sketches while babysitting and/or chilling with my relatives in bay Torac on island Hvar. REPAINTING AND REPAIRING AN OIL ON CANVAS, A PAINTING OF ASSISI ( ITALY)

Image
Hello there! Today I'll share with you a repainted oil painting inspired by a souvenir I picked up in Assisi , Italy (also here ). I visited Assisi, a hometown of Saint Francis back in 2013. I'm very grateful that I have the means to pursue art more seriously and learn more about different mediums. That certainly wasn't always the case. While it is true that it feels like more work nowadays, I can also see the progress and that's obviously rewarding. I'm happy that it is possible for me to create paintings, especially these kind ...

Image
Today we're going to talk about Catherine Zeta-Jones' style . Catherine Zeta-Jones is a Welsh actress. Born in 1969,  Catherine is today best known for her acting work, as she managed to break out of the pretty girl stereotype some time ago and went to work on more ambitious acting jobs. You might know, I'm not too keen on celebrity culture. Most of the time, I find general public's interest in famous people unnatural and crazy, but I do think many celebs are a great fashion inspiration source because they have access to the good stuff and often work with very creative people. Catherine definitely has some nice style tricks up her sleeve that are worth talking about, so that's what we will be doing today. We'll look into her style secrets and see what lessons we can learn from her. When magazines talk about famous people style, they tend to focus more on younger stars or younger version of known starts because that is what sells and ageism is often a thing in ou...
