I'm having so much fun shopping my own closet right now, that I'm not even sure how I will ever get back to regular shopping or will I. Not too long ago, I wrote about why shopping our closet is ecological and ethical thing to do (you can read that post here ). In the meantime,  I've enjoyed shopping my closet more than ever before. Perhaps it is because Spring is finally here and I'm feeling those spring vibes. Not that I'm preaching this approach or anything like that. Everyone knows what is best for them and if buying new pieces regularly is a part of your style, that's perfectly alright. Rather than to preach anything, it was my intention to share what works for me personally. I find that shopping my own closet helps me feel less stressed and more in control of my wardrobe, but that might be just me. Happy Monday dear people! How are you? I hope you're doing well. Today I will share my new art with you with you, mainly my 3 new paintings/illustrations.  The medium for all of them is markers and watercolour on paper. Basically, all of them are mixed media paintings/illustrations. They are a bit more artistic than the other fashion illustrations I've been working on lately, but that was kind of the point. At the moment,  I like how they turned out, but who knows I might get very self-critical later so perhaps best to share them right now. These 3 paintings were created without a plan and without a reference of any kind, straight from my head to paper you might say.  Improvised art can teach us a lot, I think. Besides making time for studying and learning about art, I also try to make time to just improvise and create art in a more spontaneous way. How to style a baker boy hat? Today I'm presenting you with my casual monochrome outfit proposal. Why casual? Simply because I dressed having a long walk in mind. Why monochrome? As much as I love colour, I thought that keeping my outfit black and white would help make it more elegant. I wanted to create a casual outfit that will be simple and chic. Baker boy hat (IMHO) falls into the category of  statement hats. This hat is one of Spring trends, but it can be hard to style, because it is a bit on the 'loud' side. Baker boy hat /newsboy cap comes with a boyish/rock chic vibe, so to make it more girl appropriate, I paired it with a pair of vintage white jeans, a vintage white turtleneck and a vintage pepita blazer. Lately I've been working hard on improving my art skills. I've been drawing and painting my days away you could say. I also did a lot of retouching, changing things I'm not happy with, trying to 'fix' some of my art. I already wrote about how this can be a difficult subject at best of times ( here ), but maybe this dilemma is something we need to do to practice balance.  Being critical of one's work, constantly reevaluating and questioning everything is obviously stressful, but it is probably inevitable if you want to keep creating. Perhaps it is how we learn.  Still, this 'should we redo/retouch our art or leave it as it is' is an never ending dilemma for me.
