I never underestimate sketches and doodlers. Sometimes they have a life of their own. They capture what I'm feeling at that moment. Sometimes they turn into paintings. Most often, they're tiny oasis of peace, composed of seconds but powerful enough to stop the time for on heartbeat and remind me ...Remind me of how hungry my hands are...burning to create, to wonder across that piece of paper free and inhabited.  Nikad ne podcjenjujem skice i škrabotine. Najčešće su pak, male oaze mira, sačinjene od sekunda, ali dovoljno snažne da zaustave vrijeme na trenutak i podsjete me koliko su  zapravo  moje ruke gladne stvaranja, žudne slobodnog lutanja po tom komadu papira.

This May I decided to challenge myself to make one DIY every day. In addition, I challenged myself to paint and draw every single day. So far, so good. Well, if we ignore the fact that I'm exhausted. That put aside, I've been occupied with many projects with a varying degree of success. I'm not sure if all the DIYs will make it to my blog, but at least some of them will. As a matter of fact, some of these DIY projects were already featured.  Today I will show you how to give your old bag a make over. This bag is faux leather and it became worn out. I've decided to make it fun by applying fabric paints to it. When it comes to faux leather,  to decorate it (i.e paint on it) you can also use nail polish and acrylic paint. However, if the bag you want to refresh is a leather one, I would recommend using leather paints. This DIY will take you about ten minutes, give or take a few....it might depend on the drying time of the fabric paint you used. Ovog svibnja odluči...

Today I visited Ljubuški, a little city located in Bosnia and Herzegovina, only a short distance from the boarder with Croatia. I was there to dine with my photographer (i.e. my husband) at restaurant Most  , which I can honestly recommend to anyone.  Another thing I can recommend (once you come out of the restaurant) is crossing the street and going for a stroll on this lovely path right next to river. Pedestrian or cyclist, you're going to enjoy talking a stroll with a view of Trebizan river.  outfit details I wore a vintage shirt ( inherited from my aunt) and a skirt from Bellissima . I just adore this little leaher bag,  a gift from a friend, bought at second hand shop (if I remember well). DIY of the day So, I decided to paint a design on my favourite sand trousers. It was very time consuming because I wanted to create a design that would be detailed, intricate and resemble embroidery. I also wanted it to be completely unique. I struggled with it, but when the morning light shone on my design, I thought to my self--- This was so worth it. The floral arrangements in my home are ever changing, depending on what I have available in my garden. What finds its way into my vases, doesn't necessarily have to be a bouquet of roses. In fact, I love wild flowers and wild plants that often get ignored. In addition, I don't always cut the flowers, sometimes I replant them because that way they live longer. I'm always creating something new and I have lots of idea. Sometimes little details can mean a lot when it comes to home decoration. Take for example this little decorative white crib I bought a while ago. It is an interesting piece that can be used for a variety of purposes, but I mostly use it too keep flowers or plants in it. We always think we know better, but what is there to do but believe that someday we will really know better. Uvijek mislimo kako znamo bolje, ali zaista što nam preostaje nego vjerovati da ćemo jednog dana zaista i znati bolje. Hello! Today I'm sharing one sketch that is accompanied by a message and a DIY. The message on the sketch is pretty self explanatory. We often think we know better but then we realize that we don't. However, life is all about learning from our mistakes so there is nothing else to do but to try again and believe that some day we'll truly know better. As far as DIY goes, it's pretty simple. I  have sewn these little hearts onto this striped top yesterday because I wanted to cover up little holes that were beginning to form on it. You know when you manage to find a cotton t-shirt that is really made from cotton and then you wash it a few times only to discover those annoying little holes forming?
