HOW TO WEAR MORE WHITE IN WINTER IN FIVE SIMPLE STEPS

It seems that white in winter is a real trend nowadays. Nobody lives following that rule 'no white after labor day' anymore. Today I've prepared some style tips and outfit information for you, because I do believe that white can be a great way to refresh our winter style. I'll be happy if I inspire you to give white a try. Anything from a white bag to white shoes can make your winter outfits more fun. So, why not give this lovely colour a chance? Here are my five easy steps to start wearing more white in winter right now. Most of these don't even require you do any shopping as I'm sure you'll be able to find at least some of these items in your closet. Sometimes it is all about reexamining what we already have in our closets. 

1. START WITH ACCESSORIES 

If you find wearing white overwhelming, you can always try baby steps. Start with white shoes (super trendy right now) and/or bag and move from there. Next thing you can do is try other white accessories, such as a nice white beret or a beanie. White scarves are also a great place to start. You can opt for an oversized white scarves. White faux fur scarves are also a lovely option!

What white accessories are my favourite ones? There is a whole list, but here is what comes to my mind first:

- white knit and faux fur scarves,

- white bags,

- white berets and beanies,

- white sneakers,

- white heels.

2. FIND A GOOD PAIR OF WHITE JEANS

I was going to write buy a pair of white jeans, but then I checked myself. All the white jeans I own are vintage. Yes, ALL of them. I found a lot of white jeans in my husband's closet. That's the benefit of having a skinny husband.

Looking for suggestions for styling white jeans? Well, here are some.
- Try styling your white years with neutral colours such as grey.
- For extra cozy vibes, pair your white jeans with sweaters.
- Wear your white jeans with pastel shades.
- Pair them with a teddy bear coat (this combination of shades looks fabulous).

3. TRY WEARING A WHITE COAT,  A JACKET OR A BLAZER

Outerwear is not to be ignored. In fact, outwear can be the perfect way to infuse more white into your winter styling. If you ask me, a white coat and/or a blazer always look incredibly elegant. If you opt for neutral shades, you can be sure of creating a look that looks put together. A white leather (or faux leather) jacket on the other hand can be simply perfect for casual styling and everyday wear.

4. GIVE WHITE SKIRTS AND DRESSES A CHANCE

White skirts are actually quite easy to style. The same goes for white dresses. If you are not comfortable wearing an all white skirt or a dress, you can always choose one with a patter. Recently you have seen me wearing this white dress with a cherry print. You don't have to go shopping for new dresses either. You can wear your summer dresses, you make sure you stay warm. You can style your white dresses or skirts by wearing warm tights or leggings under them. 

5. REMEMBER: A WHITE SHIRT IS A CLASSIC FOR A REASON 

There isn't anything more classical than a white shirt, is there? A white shirt looks great worn with anything from jeans to business suits. If you want your look to be more bohemian, you can always choose a folk inspired white shirt. I personally love folklore white shirts. Everything looks better paired with a white shirt!
