How to style a magenta coat? (location Buna, Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Earlier this month, I bought and wore this magenta coat (here), and today I have another suggestion for styling it. I've always been a fan of statement coats (even when they weren't really a thing), so you may expect to see this coat again here on blog. I was never the type to buy something and wear it only once, for I usually get a kick of wearing an item repeatedly. Once again, I've paired this coat with jeans, but this time a size darker. I wore a turtleneck in a burgundy colour, and it got on surprisingly well with this dark pink coat. To finish it off, I choose dark brown boots and bag. When I get tired of black, I often opt for brown. It is a rather neutral colour that goes well with everything. To be honest, this leather basketball cap wasn't a part of this outfit. I just put it on because I was worried I might be cold (it was windy) but since the sun was more than enough to warm me, I took it off shortly. All in all, I was pretty happy with this outfit.

Since I lost weight, I found myself with a predictable problem of what to wear. Instead of shopping for clothes, for now I resorted to stealing clothes, especially jeans from my husband's closet (because he is kind of skinny). I even found some vintage jeans that he used to wear. So, basically I'm rotating a few pairs of stolen jeans. When you lose weight, pants are usually the big issue. One can still wear skirts and dresses when you go a size down, but pants are problematic. There was this phase I had when I refused to wear jeans and now I'm completely the opposite. At the moment, I actually enjoy wearing jeans but I'm still lazy to go and search for a pair that actually fits, so I'm sticking with stealing them from hubby and wearing belts.

You're probably noticed that I like to take photographs outdoors. I don't invest much in blog photography, I don't even have a proper camera right now, but I do try to choose nice locations. Not only because of you guys, but because I enjoy lovely locations myself. Fortunately, there are a lot of stunning locations where I live. However, after a while they are bound to get a bit repetitive. I hope you don't mind. As a rule, I repeat about a dozen of locations frequently. I don't see the point in writing about them every time, and describing the same place over and over again, so I will just link up old posts herehere, here, here and here and you can read more about this place if you want to.

I find it hard to believe that I used to be a girl who disliked Winter. Now, I can't seem to get enough of it. I'm actually excited about the fact that Winter is here to stay. I'm not anxiously waiting for the Spring or anything like that. I mean I will probably be happy once Spring arrives, but I feel no need to rush it. Instead I'm enjoying season that's here, trying to seize the moment, you know carpe diem and all that. Winter can be so beautiful and inspiring. I remember how I used to enjoy painting winter landscapes (you know snow and all that), but it took me all this time to really appreciate the beauty of Winter. Better late than never, right?

  3. That is great statement coat. The vivid hue and collar and sleeve details are very eyecatching. I like you've been creative with dressing yourself since your weight loss. It's good that you're able to "steal" your husband's jeans for now :)

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.
