Today I'm sharing with you my fashion illustration. The medium is pencil and watercolour on paper. I already shared this illustration on my instagram but here you can see it in better quality. This illustrated outfit is quite minimalistic. It consists of a pair of pants, a shirt, a pair of sandals with high heels and a simple bag.. The only accessory is a necklace.  It is an outfit very appropriate for Spring. As much as I love colour, often I feel drawn to minimalism. More often than not, I feel  very inspired by  minimalist and basic outfits, even if I don't wear them often myself. I think the best thing about fashion is that we can find so many different styles we can admired and be inspired by. Even if some style isn't our cup of tea, we can still be inspired by it. Isn't that really lovely?

Danas s vama dijelim svoju modnu ilustraciju. Medij je olovka i vodene boje na papiru. Već sam ovu ilustraciju podijelila na svom instagramu, ali ovdje je možete vidjeti u boljoj kvaliteti. Ova kombinacija koju sam ilustrirala je poprilično minimalistična, a sastoji se od para hlača, košulje, jednostavne torbe i sandala s visokom petom. Jedini modni dodatak je ogrlica. Ova je odjevna kombinacija jako prikladna za proljeće. Koliko god voljela boju, često me privlači minimalizam. Često sam jako nadahnuta minimalističkim i jednostavnim odjevnim kombinacijama, čak i ako ih sama ne nosim tako često. Mislim da je najbolja stvar kod mode to što možemo pronaći toliko različitih stilova kojima se možemo diviti i koji nas mogu nadahnuti. Čak i ako neki stil nije nešto što bi sami nosili, još uvijek nam može biti nadahnuće. Zar to nije divno?

    I ja volim minimalizam, smiruju me čiste linije i nenapadnost boja iako mislim da ga nikad neću u potpunosti početi prakticirati jer se nekako ne vidim u samo jednom stilskom pravcu :)

    Odlična ilustracija i sjajan outfit...a sada samo da dođe i to pravo proljeće (danas ovdje opet kiša i sivilo) jer kada gledam ove štikle (koje su mi vjerojatno i najbolji dio outfita) i raskopčan gornji dio smrznem se momentalno. :D
    Još jednom, stvarno je super ispalo, a minimalizam je i moj đir, gotovo u svemu, osim kada je polica s knjigama u pitanju. :D

      da, znam...ali doći će nama i pravo proljeće uskoro:)....moje police s knjigama su isto dosta osebujne, mislim da nikad neću biti onaj tip koji slaže knjige po bojama ili veličini ili ma kojem faktoru urednosti.

    Your fashion illustrations are some of my favourite blog series ever, and honestly you get better at doing them each time! You are very talented and I love to admire your work. :) I really like the elegant, minimalistic outfit in this one. Like you said, even if something isn't exactly our cup of tea, we can still admire it and let it inspire us. That's how I feel about fashion a lot of the time... I'm not much of a fashion person myself, I don't really know how to dress, but I love looking at other people's outfits and styles! x

    Yes, this outfit is actually very inspiring and springlike. I myself don‘t like me in pants that are as slim and short as on your drawing, but when women with the appropriate figure are wearing this style it looks very attractive.

    Stvarno je savršena! Iako sam navikla na boje, šarenilo i mešavinu stilova na tvojim ilustracijama, ova verzija uopšte ne zaostaje, naprotiv, baš je lep dodatak onim prethodnim. I ja sam isto neko ko voli boje i različite sltilove, ali moram da priznam da me minimalizam nekako posebno inspiriše u poslednje vreme, i ne samo što se tiče odeće. Valjda je u tome i lepota svega ovoga, menjati se, istraživati, dodavati, vraćati se... :)

    Much as I love to pile it on, i'm also all for minimalism every so often. Yes I did see this on instagram and I never fail to be wow'd by your skills. Have you always been this artsy? You may be doing this for the fun of it but you could also be making a ton of $ darling. Your illustrations are that good.     Hi Ivana, I like minimalist fashion too. I love understated class and minimalist often draws this out. I agree that even if some styles isn't our cup of tea, we can still be inspired by these styles. I like admiring certain styles in pictures or when other people wear them but not on myself.

    Do you draw your fashion illustration in pencil first and colour them in or use water colour directly?

Today I shall review The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak. I was actually gifted this book. What a wonderful present it proved to be! Published in 2021, this postmodern  novel  follows two  story lines and uses framed narration.  The Island of Missing Trees  tells the life story of a Greek Turkish couple and their adolescent daughter.  This novel examines and explores a number of topics such as identity, migration, immigrant life, war trauma, memory, love and family. It's an ambitious novel that examines serious topics with due respect and sensitivity . I read it months ago, but I remember it vividly. Honestly, I cried a lot while reading this novel. It really moved me greatly. In fact, that is probably why it took me this long to finish this book review. FORGIVENESS DAY BY URSULA K. LE GUIN (BOOK REVIEW AND AN AUTUMN STYLING)

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! How are you today? I'm back with another Ursula K. Le Guin book review. In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own. I think it functions well as a stand alone novella. I listened to it in audio form, and I didn't have any problems following the story.  The world building is simple and effective. I've been reading Maugham's The Complete Short Stories for some time now. I've been taking my time with this collection, but I enjoyed it a lot. Well, a post about art. Fashion art to be more precise.  I've been on a roll lately with my art posts. After a period of not posting my art at all, due to a variety of reasons, I started posting my art in every post. I got back to my destination art series, and now it's time for another post in my fashion art series. Friday Fashion Illustration  is somewhat of a regular feature on my blog.
