Inspired by / Nadahnuta sa......


Yes, it is time for my new 'Inspired by'...feature. This is one of my favourite features on my blog. If you haven't seen it before but you would like to know more, you can check out my 2015 recap for here. Basically, it is a feature where I post my own illustrations of fashion bloggers. This month, I illustrated 3 outfits, worn by +Tijana J. Dominguez , +Shannon Everleigh and  and Lenya. Stop by their blogs if you already haven't.

Da, vrijeme je za još jednu "Nadahnuta s.." .rubriku na mome blogu. To mi je jedna od najdražih rubrika na blogu.     Hvala ti još jednom :) Znaš kako se uvek obradujem kad vidim da sam te baš ja inspirisala za ovako nešto. Baš si me iznenadila i sa izborom slike, meni su one jedne od omiljenih otkad imam blog, pa kao da si znala :) Mnogo je slatko kako izgleda i sa kamečićima. Volela bih da ponesem i takvu haljinu ;) I ostale ilustracije su divne i čast mi je da se nađem u takvom društvu :)

    Volim ovu tvoju rubriku, uvijek ti izvrsno ispadnu ilustracije! :) Najviše mi se sviđaju prve dvije i baš mi je fora kako si na drugoj slici iskombinirala kamenčiće, volim takve intervencije u crtež! :)

    Ideja s kamencicima je divna. Stovise, mozda bi i u buduce mogla na ilustracije dodavati kamencice, zrna kave,neke druge prirodne materijale.... ne sumnjam da bi se snasla. Predivno!

Today I shall review The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak. I was actually gifted this book. What a wonderful present it proved to be! Published in 2021, this postmodern  novel  follows two  story lines and uses framed narration.  The Island of Missing Trees  tells the life story of a Greek Turkish couple and their adolescent daughter.  This novel examines and explores a number of topics such as identity, migration, immigrant life, war trauma, memory, love and family. It's an ambitious novel that examines serious topics with due respect and sensitivity . I read it months ago, but I remember it vividly. Honestly, I cried a lot while reading this novel. FORGIVENESS DAY BY URSULA K. LE GUIN (BOOK REVIEW AND AN AUTUMN STYLING)

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! How are you today? I'm back with another Ursula K. Le Guin book review. In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own. I think it functions well as a stand alone novella. I listened to it in audio form, and I didn't have any problems following the story.  The world building is simple and effective. I got back to my destination art series, and now it's time for another post in my fashion art series. Friday Fashion Illustration  is somewhat of a regular feature on my blog.
