Book recommendation (Ralph Ellison, Invisible Man)/ Preporuka knjige (Ralph Ellison, Nevidljivi čovjek)

What inspires you? I may have mentioned that I'm a book lover. I have so many books in my home that I stopped buying them and these days I mostly rely on libraries. I love reading...Call me old fashioned, but I prefer to have a real book in my hands. So, perhaps it is no suprise that I get inspired by books. My outfit today was inspired by a cover of Ralph Ellison's novel. To tell you the truth, I'm struggling to find the words to describe what does this novel mean to me. I took my time with reading this one and I really tried to catch all of its subtle messages. It is such a profound book. I do recommend it. If I find the time, I will do a review. Would you be interested in reading my review of this book?

Što vas nadahnjuje? Možda sam spomenula da volim knjige. Imam ih toliko u kući da sam ih prestala kupovati i u zadnje vrijeme oslanjam se na knjižnice. Volim čitati, a najdraži mi je staromodni način, volim držati knjigu u ruci. Stoga, možda i nije iznenađujuće da me nadahne knjiga. Moja današnja kombinacija je nadahnuta omotom romana Rapha Ellisona. Iskreno da kažem, teško mi je pronaći prave riječi za opisati koliko mi ovaj roman znači.  Uzela sam si vremena i čitala je polako te sam stvarno pokušala uhvatiti sve njene suptilne poruke. To je veoma duboka knjiga. Preporučam da je pročitate. Napisati ću ogled knjige ako uhvatim vremena. Bi li ga voljeli pročitati?

    It's really fresh and cool that your outfit was inspired by a book cover and I think you nailed the colors and the minimalist spirit perfectly. I'm so intrigued by the book based the excerpt you shared. I will have to see if my library has this title. I also rely on the library most of the time for my reading these days and I'm hoping to make reading more of a priority in the new year.

    I am a lover of books and I prefer them in my hands not on a metallic and illuminated surface. I've had to halt in buying too because I don't have room for them right now and I'm between places so it's not a great idea. I used to go to the library a fair bit but lately I haven't had time and instead done something so bad. I've been buying them through Kobo these days. I don't like reading them on my phone but it's better then not reading them at all!

      I know what you mean. I sometimes read ebooks too because there are some old editions that aren't available in a library....it is better to read books on phone or computer than not to read them at all.

The area I grew up in was all very much the same types of people, color, religion, so this was all so foreign to me and so helpful. Very lovely outfit!     Slažem se. Knjiga je knjiga. I ovako stalno zurim u ekran jer je neizbežan, pa mi ne treba još i za čitanje :)

In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own.
