Do it yourself / sam svoj majstor

Taking a little break from drawing to do a quick manicure because sometimes little things can mean  a lot. Besides, I like doing my own manicuras. DIY philosophy seems to be something I live by...In fact, the reason why my nails are shorter than usual because recently I've been devoting a large amount of my time to sewing, drawing and DIY projects. This outfit is pretty basic. I opted for it a few days ago when it was warm enough to wear short sleeves. I'm not ready for this sudden drop of temperature, but I can't complain because I did know that this freakish 'Summer weather in Autumn'  can't last forever. 

Uzimam malu pauzu od crtanja da bi napravila brzu manikuru jer ponekad takve sitnice puno znače.  Ja zapravo volim sama sređivati svoje nokte. Čini mi se da mi odgovara sam svoj majstor filozofija. Štoviše, nokti su mi kraći nego obično jer sam u zadnje vrijeme još više posvetila svoje vrijeme šivanju, crtanju i "sam svoj majstor" projektima. Odjevna kombinacija je jako jednostavna, a nosila sam je prije par dana kada je bilo dovoljno toplo za kratki rukav. Nisam spremna za ovaj nagli pad temperature, ali se ne mogu žaliti jer nije da nisam znala da to neobično ljeto tijekom jeseni ne može potrajati.

    How fun that you turned your creativity to this manicure! I love the bright and happy colors you used and it complements your outfit perfectly. We're having a spot of summer-like weather in NYC at the moment and I'm trying to enjoy it before it gets back to fall temps again :)

    The question is though - does your nail polish last without chipping when you are also engaged in creative projects? Seems like it must do as it's looking pretty perfect here. Mine NEVER lasts, although I think it's mostly because I don't keep my hands still.

    Ah the food addict in me says "kecthup and mustard" but the tiny, tasteful part of me says "how pretty those nails are". Very creative people are big on doing things themselves, or so I am told.

    I ja sama obavljam to pa i sve ostalo, jednostavno ne volim da idem u salone i slično, a i nekako mislim da sama znam najbolje šta i kako volim, plus je daleko isplativije, kreativnije, a i prava razbibriga :)
    Manikir je presladak, imaš jako lepe nokte. Divna je kombinacija boja i uopšte si svaki detalj divno uklopila i to baš na svakoj slici :)

    I really like your nail decor, dear Ivana, it's simple and looks like perfect option for "those busy days", when you don't have enough time for anything :) What's more, you're so lucky with the weather in your country, because I bet that these photos were taken few days ago from now, but there is still sunny in your city.     Well, this answers my question from your most recent blog post. Of course, you sew! ;-) Cute nails. The design reminds me of ladybugs. My first credit card design ever had a big ladybug on it. DIY brings out the creativity in all of us, and it doesn't really matter if we are experts. My art teacher when I was in grade school scared me away from DIYs at first because she criticized how messy my work was. Thankfully, others saw the potential in me. I love your jewelry projects for sure!

      my grandmother always says that messiness if allowed when creative work is concern. If we compare mother nature with labaroties, we can see how creative nature is....and how wonderful chaos can be.

In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own. I think it functions well as a stand alone novella. I listened to it in audio form, and I didn't have any problems following the story.  The world building is simple and effective. Well, a post about art. Fashion art to be more precise.  I've been on a roll lately with my art posts.
