Haunted still life (Painting of the day) / Ukleta mrtva priroda ( Slika dana)

Fairis of the slavic mythology are often my inspiration. They pop out in the least likely of places, on my clothes, on my necklaces, on a forgotten sketch of still life....

Vile slavenske mitologije su često moja inspiracija. Pojavljuju se svugdje negdje, na mojoj odjeći, na mojim ogrlicama,  na zaboravljenoj skici mrtve prirode...

    2. I still don't get it. I read it before and all I read is haunted still life, you got the inspiration from mythology and you paint it on every available surface so to say. Maybe I am too blond to get it, lol. Never mind Ivana.

  26. Hey Ivana, I'm interested to know the interpretation of your painting. I wonder about the fruits in the foreground. I love mths and I haven't really known much about Slavic myths. I would have to google some well-known Slavic myths.

The pictures you took at the river is so lovely. I'm always thrilled by those river pics no matter how many times you feature them. And you're right that there are newcomers to your blog too. Anyway, it's your blog so feel free to write on!

Awww... what a shame that we do not have similar social media platforms except for our blogs. You are one of those whom I would love to connect on all platforms. I totally feel you when you said "we just can't get them all". We only have so little time in a day and social media is just one facet of life. Sending you lots of xoxo back, Ivana.

When you paint, is there any particular meaning that you want to convey or do you paint out of the blue because of an inspiration? :)

    1. Sometimes there is a message I want to convey and sometimes I just follow my gut feeling. I don't wait to be inspired, I prefer to paint every day even when I don't feel like it.
