grey vintage skirt (today's outfit post)/ siva vintage suknja (današnja odjevna kombinacija)



Hello my sweets:) Today I have worn this wonderful gray vintage skirt. I think it was supposed to be a maxi, but on me it's a midi...not that I'm complaining, I love the mid calf length. I paired it with a simple  body shirt and black (worn out) boots...Yes, I know these boots are seriously worn out, but I get sentimental about my shoes. (That is why I like dr. martens-- I just know those boots will always be with me).There was also a baseball cap to add a finishing touch to the outfit, but as these photos were taken when I got back home, the same was missing.  What do you think about rolled up sleeves? I like rolled up sleeves, perhaps because I love to have my hands free and it really is warm enough. Besides, it is practical especially when you're cooking, cleaning, gardening etc...


Today I'm finishing up Nostromo by Joseph Conrad (birth name Józef Teodor Konrad Korzeniowski) , one of my favourite writers...there is something magical in the way he writes. I've been reading this novel for quite some time and I just feel immersed in it...and yet at the same time I have this feeling that I perhaps don't understand everything that I should...This world he created in his novel feels both distant and near.

Zdravo, dragi moji. Danas sam nosila ovu divnu staru suknju, koja je mislim trebala biti duga, ali na meni je dužine do pola listova, no ne žalim se jer volim tu dužinu, a nosila sam je sa crnim bodijem i čizmama koje su prilično iznošene. ( sentimentalna sam oko obuće zato volim martensice jer znam da ću ih uvijek imati). Nosila sam i šiltericu da upotpunim kombinaciju,a li pošto su fotografije nastale kad sam došla kući već sam je bila skinula. Što mislite o zavrnutim rukavima? kod mene čini se uvijek jesu, to  je praktično, a i sviđa mi se.

 Danas dovršavam roman Nostromo, čitam ga već dosta vremena... Joseph Conrad (ili Josef Konrad ako ćemo odbaciti angliziranu verziju njegovog imena) jedan je od mojih najdražih pisaca...ima mi nešto magično u njegovom stilu pisanja, ne znam to opisati, ali nekako baš imam osjećaj da sam unutar knjige dok je čitam, sve mi se čini tako stvarno, a opet tako daleko. Cijeli svijet ovoga romana čini mi se u istovrijeme i blizak i dalek.

In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own. I think it functions well as a stand alone novella. I listened to it in audio form, and I didn't have any problems following the story.  The world building is simple and effective.
