Wearing black and white, but feeling blue.



I wore this outfit a day before Christmas. I think I was inspired by an all white outfit that I saw Idu (from fashionably Idu) wear. I thought to myself, why not wear something white myself? I remembered this vintage skirt that used to be too big for me, but since I gained weight, it fits just perfectly. Anyhow, I came up with this (predominately) black and white look. It was a nice enough outfit, the only problem was that I was too hot. Yes, it was about 16 degrees in Mostar. In fact, that is the reason why my coat isn't buttoned up on most of these photos- I'm not the type to unbutton my coat just to show what I'm wearing underneath. My low tolerance to cold is legendary. However, the Winter has been very mild lately. I probably wouldn't have been cold even if I didn't wear a coat. I might have mentioned that I celebrated Christmas in Mostar, as I usually do.  Yesterday I went to Split but I returned to Mostar earlier today. I'm a bit tired, so I'll keep this post short.  Tomorrow I might return to my chatty self.

Ovu sam kombinaciju nosila na Badnji dan. Mislim da me nadahnula potpuno bijela kombinacija koju je nosila Idu ( sa bloga fashionably Idu). Rekla sam si, zašto ne bi i ja nosila nešto bijelo? Sjetila sam se ove vintage suknje koja mi je bila prevelika, ali otkako sam se udebljala, sasvim mi je dobra veličina. Uglavnom, tako je ispala  ova (pretežno) crno bijela kombinacija. Bila je skroz u redu, samo je problem bio što mi je bilo prevruće. Da, vruće jer je u Mostaru je bilo oko 16 stupnjeva. To je razlog zašto mi na većini fotografija nije zakopčan kaput. Nisam tip koji bi otkopčao kaput samo da se vidi što nosim ispod jer imam jako nisku toleranciju na niske temperature. No, ova zima je zasada jako blaga. Vjerojatno mi ne bi bilo hladno čak i da nisam nosila kaput.  Božić sam (kao što sam vjerojatno i napisala) slavila u Mostaru, jučer sam išla za Split, a danas sam se već vratila, tako da sam umorna i neću duljiti. Sutra se možda raspišem.

    Dear Ivana, it looks like summer in Mostar! Wow, the sky is so blue and 16 degrees is really warm! Here in Bavaria it is neither very cold and fortunately often warm enough to forego socks :) You got a great inspiration through Idu, I really love the white skirt and how you combined it!

    Dear Ivana, I loved the outfit, black and white and a pop of color are always great colors to combine! Loved the coat, the top, the skirt and boots and the bag is lovely! You look very beautiful and full of stile! I am like you, I am not someone who opens the coat to show what's underneath if it's cold. But sometimes, when it's warmer, I do. I remember the photos I shared in February and March this year, on 2 long trips and my coats were always closed - only the scarves showed :) But that's fine, we don't want to catch a cold :) But I liked that you showed your top, cause it's lovely!     Baš sam pre koji minut bila kod Idu na blogu i rekla joj koliko volim belu zimi :) Definitivno ste me obe inspirisale da joj dam prednost ovih dana :) Mnogo mi se sviđa kombinacija sunkje i rolke, deluje kao da je haljina u pitanju. Baš je ušuškano, udobno, a opet elegantno :) Znači ni kod tebe nema zime. Što se mene tiče, može da potraje ovako. Samo se nadam da neće onda naglo zahladiti kad se približi proleće... Nadam se da si došla k sebi :)

    Mi smo ovdje isto uživali par dana na suncu, ali je jučer popodne zapuhala bura i odmah druga priča - totalno smrzavanje :) iako ću uvijek rađe birati to umjesto dosadne kiše...Ova kombinacija mi je baš prava zimsko blagdanska, super te za promjenu malo vidjeti i u bijelom, sviđa mi se suknja! :)

    Hi Ivana! :) I wish that here, in Poland was the same sunny weather as in Mostar, here where I live, there was no snow at all, but everyday you can feel very frezzing air, so warm jackets or coat are must-haves ;) What about your post, sorry to hear that you feel a little bit tired, I think that most of us feel the same way after Christmas ;) Moreover, I love your black and white outfit, you look really stylish in this timeless combination of colors, dear :)

In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own.
