Not that pink dress again (outfit post) Ne ponovo ta roza haljina ( odjevna objava)













Outfit details:

bag/ torba: hand made by my late grandomother/ ručni rad pokojne bake
scarf worn as belt/ Rubac nošen kao remen: Avon
shoes/cipele: Peko

Yes, I'm wearing this vintage pink dress once again! This time with a scarf worn as belt. Like that was not colourful enough, there is also this wonderful folklore Croatian bag. I decided to wear my new Peko shoes because I wanted to check whether they can be worn without tights (as one does in Summer)....and I'm happy to announce they've passed the test! I plan to wear them this Summer. That's going to be all, folks. I won't write much today, because yesterday I attended a wedding...and if you don't understand why I'm so tired, you probably never attendad a Slavic wedding....and no, this was not my wedding outfit. I'll show you that some other time.

Da, ponovo nosim ovu rozu vintage haljinu! Ovaj put je tu i rubac koji služi kao remen, a kao da to nije dovoljno šareno, tu je i folklorna torba. Odlučila sam obući nove Peko cipele jer sam htjela provjeriti može li ih se nositi i ljeti, bez najlonki...i prošle su test! Znači, planiram ih nositi ovog ljeta. To bi bilo sve za danas, neću puno pisati jer sam jučer bila u svatovima, a znate kakvi su naši svatovi......I ne, ovo nije što sam nosila u svatove, to ću vam pokazati drugi put.

      hvala ti...žao mi je čuti što su vintage majčine stvari izgubljene,ali možeš uvijek čuvati svoje za buduće naraštaje. Nekad je teško pronaći mjesta u ormaru za sve, ali sve više uviđam da ima smisla neke komade uz koje smo vezani zadržati.

    I wish I could attend a Slavic wedding too! If you happen to take a few photos there, could you share them here, perhaps? This dress is so beautiful, such a nice shade of pink, pleasant to the eyes I would say. Looks interesting with a colourful scarf worn as a belt. And the shoes are very pretty, too. Hello fellow bloggers and/or blog readers! In this post, I'll share my review for Ursula K. Le Guin short story The Wild Girls . Published in 2011, this powerful short story tells a touching tale of slavery , trauma , loss and survival. Sisterly love is at the core of this immensely sad, complex and profound story. If you want to read an intelligent and multifaceted story focused on female characters, and set in a dystopian society, look no further. Don't expect a happy ending, though! Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! In this post, I shall review Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo ,  the first novel in the Shadow and Bone trilogy. Published in 2012, Shadow and Bone is a young adult fantasy novel featuring a young female protagonist Alina Starkov who tries to find her way in a world troubled by war and class divisions. The novel is set in Ravka, a fantasy world inspired by feudal Russia, but still unique in its own way. The world Alina Starkov inhabits has its own mythology and magic, and the worldbuilding is quite interesting. For example, there are Grishas, people who have magical powers, that are partly based on study of science and partly on instinct. SUMMER TO AUTUMN TRANSITION 2024 (SPLIT CITY)

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! In this post, we'll talk about Summer to Autumn transition. It's actually one of my favourite seasonal transitions, because it allows us to easily play with layers and textures. Early Autumn is that magical time when you can wear a sweater or a light jacket over your summer dress and call it a day.  As the days get colder, we'll need more layering but we can still draw from that Summer inspiration.  How to keep Summer in our hearts even when the Autumn arrives?  Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! It's almost ten. I've had a long week and I'm quite tired and sleepy. However, I'll try to wrap this post up for you tonight. What kind of post? After a period of not posting my art at all, due to a variety of reasons, I started posting my art in every post. I got back to my destination art series, and now it's time for another post in my fashion art series. Friday Fashion Illustration  is somewhat of a regular feature on my blog.
