Versatile blogger award

Thank you dear Shaira ( from www.missdream-girl.blogspot.com ) for nominating me for the versatile blogger award. I already did this once but what the heck once again won't hurt. Do check out her blog here!

Here are my seven facts:

1. I cried like a baby while reading The Autobiography of Martin Luther King Jr. Sure there were other books that made me cry, but this one especially so....Every chapter tears were flowing down my cheeks and despite that (or maybe because of that) I really took time and effort to read every single sentence with attention it so rightfully deserves.

2. As far as I can remember, I was always drawing and sketching. This blog didn't change that but how would I ever got into making personalized fashion illustrations  without it? You fashion bloggers always inspire me...and  for that inspiration I'm quite grateful.

3. I'm totally a foodie. I love everything about food...Preparing it and eating it in equal measure. I even immensely enjoy decorating the dinning table and do it almost every day. My decorations often match a theme of the dish and naturally I make them myself. For me, every meal is a special occasion. Amen to that!

4. Sf geek all the way and not afraid to admit it...I worship Heinlein, Asimov, Zelazny, Hebert and Ursula K. Le Guin.  I once read about a girl breaking up with her boyfriend because he tried to move her sf collection from a very prominent place in their home and even worse to replace them with classics. I think my reaction would be the same. Dump the man that messes with your books is the only right thing to do!

5. I have quite a passion for recycling stuff, sometimes bordering on obsession. A kitchen appliance (i.e. whisk) gets broken? It need to get turned into a necklace. ASAP. Husband says whisk metal was made so it can't me bend. I would beg to differ.

7. My imagination is quite wild.  I basically never get a good night sleep. If it is not insomnia, than it is nightmares. However, at least they're aesthetically pleasing and sometimes even fascinating nightmares. They're upper sides to having a really busy mind, for example, inspiration always comes easily for me, but there are also down sides and quite often I wish there was a shut down button somewhere in my head that I could press.

7. I love nature photography. Quite often I take photographs when I'm hiking. They almost never appear on the blog. Well, I can't find a place for everything on this little place of my own, can I?

Now, the rules state I should nominate 11 bloggers but I think I'll just let you tag yourself if you're interested. I would love to know your seven facts.

  2. You have quite an interesting mind, different from most of the others who are interested in fashion :)) I already understood this before, but here I see you're quite intellectual, practical AND and artist!!!!
.......think I don't qualify, until they reached their final destination in special book-chests I constantly moved my husband's books (and mine) according to the mood. Confess I even put them in order according to size once....:lol

  3. Martin Luther King was an extraordinary man! That's awesome that you find ways to recycle and reuse things. More of us need to do that. I love eating food but not preparing it. HAHAHA

  5. You deserve every award, dear :) I can never figure out who to nominate in things like this either, it makes me feel awkward so I do not actually enjoy the award. Like a chain letter. Very cool and cute facts. I have a very active mind too, always shooting off in a thousand directions. The only difference is, once asleep it pretty well shuts down, I rarely dream. xoxo

  12. Dear Ivana, you are really a wonderful and absolutely talented woman! Your mind is so full of thoughts and you have also tons of skills. Although I'm really sorry for this fact I'm not astonished that you have seldom a good sleep. I think a mind which is as busy and active as yours can't even stop in the night. No wonder that you are dreaming in that way you described! Thanks a lot for sharing these interesting facts and for sure congratulations to the award. And I'm 45 but I'm sure you knew it already :)
Happy Thursday evening, dear Ivana, you are a true enrichment to this world.

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.
