WIWT/ što sam danas nosila

This is pretty much how I dress when temperatures get below zero Celsius. Being warm is all that is important and from head to toe, every clothing item was selected with the sole purpose of keeping little me warm, including dr. martens boots (that I didn't wear for a while and) that must one of few shoes that can be worn with two pairs of very thick socks. Today I picked up a few books that I have been planing to read for a while. First, The Autobiography of Martin Luther King. One of my dear friends once send me a few YouTube links with Martin Luther King interviews and said really pay attention to this. I think it was just than that I realized what a force this man was...just watching that first interview made me teary eyed. I've started to read the autobiography tonight and all I can say is that I'm very impressed so far. I'm also really looking forward to reading two other books I took with me, Paradise by Toni Morrison and American Pastoral by Philip Roth. Both of these writers I hold in high esteem for many reason, but if I had to name one of the reasons I would say,  Roth for his brutal honesty and Morrison for her incredible  courage. Speaking of books, recently I finished The Prodigal Daughter by Jeffrey Archer and was left somewhat disappointed. Have you read that one? I really liked the beginning but I guess I was just hoping for something more towards the end. However, when you reread a book you'll hardly ever get disappointed. I've been rereading the fairy tales of Ivana Brlić Mažuranić again ( I do that annually) and it's pure magic every time.

Ovo je otprilike kako se odijevam kada temperature padnu ispod nule. Važno mi je jedino da mi je toplo i od glave do pete, svaki odjevni predmet je izabran samo u tu svrhu, uključujući marte koje nisam dugo nosila i koje su jedne od rijetkih cipela koje se mogu nositi sa dva para jako debelih čarapa. Danas sam pokupila par knjiga koje se već dugo spremam pročitati. Prvo, Autobiografiju Martin Luther Kinga.  Jedna moja draga prijateljica mi je jednom poslala nekoliko YouTube linkova s intervjuima Martin Luther Kinga uz napomenu da stvarno obratim pozornost. Mislim da sam tek tada shvatila kakva je sila bio taj čovjek... Zasuzile su mi oči nakon  gledanja samo prvog intervjua. Počela sam čitati autobiografiju večeras i sve što mogu reći je da sam jako impresionirana zasada. Jako se veselim i čitanju dviju drugih knjiga koje sam ponijela sa sobom, a te su Raj od Toni Morrison i Američka Pastorala od Philipa Rutha. Oba ova pisca jako cijenim iz puno razloga, a ako bi morala izdvojiti neki, rekla bi Rutha zbog njegove brutalne iskrenosti i Morrison zbog njene nevjerojatne hrabrosti.  Govoreći o knjigama, nedavno sam završila Izgubljenu kći Jeffrey Archera i ostala sam pomalo razočarana. Jeste li pročitali tu? Jako mi se svidio početak, ali izgleda da sam imala previše očekivanja što se tiče kraja.  No, kada čitate iznova neku knjigu rijetko ćete se razočarati. Ja sad ponovo čitam bajke Ivane Brlić Mažuranić (radim to svake godine) i uvijek je to čista čarolija.
