I watched the spinning starts, grateful, sad and proud, as only a man who has outlived his destiny and realizes he might yet forge himself another, can be.Roger Zelazny, Isle of the Dead
Roget Zelazny, Otok Mrtvih

These photographs were taken in front of my old elementary school. I used to be always late for class, despite the fact that I lived only 100 m away from the school. We were all late- all the little girls from my building because we would always wait for Neta- and she never got anywhere on time. Have you always noticed that in any group of young girls, one of them is always a princess (or perhaps better said a queen)? Fortunately, not very often does this reign results in something negative, as described in the Cat's eye (one of those novels that have become a part of me and I almost feel like I've lived trough all of that myself). Most of the times, it's just kids stuff and the source of funny story to be remembered and retold many many times.

It is strange feeling going by your old elementary school- those days are so vivid in memory yet somehow very remote. For the last week or so,  I have had this feeling that I have suddenly aged ten years, so maybe it is appropriate that I feel like examining some old memories. Funny how the early memories stay with us. As Margaret noticed (in the novel) often we forget those memories in our teen years but they all come back to us with time, perhaps more so as we get older.

  1. The dress is beautiful, and those sandals are lovely. The blazer adds a sweet touch to this already stylish outfit.

  5. Slažem se. Moja kuma živi skoro pored naše osnovne škole i svaki put kad prođem pored osetim nešto jako čudno što sa godinama postaje nekako sve čudnije... To je valjda normalno...
Predivno izgledaš, baš nekako damski! ;)

  11. Ma gle ti nje, koji komad! :) Haljina je divna i stoji ti divno! Nemoj je ni vratiti mami! :)

Kiss
