February recap / sažetak veljače


Many of my fashion illustrations were inspired by the month of love
I have been working on a few paintings...maybe I'll post about them some day but not for now...
The emphasis continues to be on fashion illustrations....

a wonderful novel  by Kureishi that questions the connection between our body and soul 


Amy Tan is an author that I would highly recommend to all the daughters and mothers. In her works she is quite successful at portraying and examining that special connection that exists between a mother and a daughter.

As always I took more photographs then I had actually shared but it's hard to find place for everything

If we're going to trust the Croatian proverb (ljubav ulazi kroz želudac)  that states that a way to someone's heart is trough their stomach ( the English version would be love enters trough the kitchen)  then I have deserved someone's heart for I have been cooking everyday 


I wore a lot of casual outfits in my free time but haven't managed to get them photographed

these few outfits that I did manage to document I had totally forgotten to post
the most worn clothing items would have to be these black mango pants that I've bought recently

You have seen (more or less) what was February like for me. Now tell me... what was February like for you? Are you happy that it's already March or do you feel like time is flying too fast?Are you looking forward to the spring?

 As far as blogging goes, it seems that I have became more focused on fashion illustrations. In the next month the illustrations will have their place, but there will be more focus on DIY....or at least I think so, because I'm kind of heading in that direction. Apart from that, I have no plans. I have so many ideas when it comes to what I want to blog about, that I often have hard time deciding what not to include. As always, feel free to write about what you would like to see.

Vidjeli ste (više-manje) kako sam provela veljaču...sada mi recite, kakav je vama bio prošli mjesec? Veselite li se proljeću? Jeste li jedva dočekali ožujak ili vam je vrijeme prebrzo proletjelo? Ne zaboravite da nam možda i nije još stiglo i da ime za mjesec ožujak potječe od staroslavenske riječi koja je označavala laž, znači radi se o mjesecu varljivoga i prevrtljivoga vremena.

 Što se tiče bloganja, čini mi se da sam se najviše usredotočila na modne ilustracije. Mislim da ću u ovom mjesecu pisati više o uradi sam projektima, ali vidjeti ćemo.....

    oh, we have same proverb in russia "The way to someone's heart is through their stomach" ))))) So I definitely understand what you are talking about) I've got to say my February reminded me of an express train, I even didn't understand where all the time has gone. Time is running, indeed! By the way, I fall in love with your blouse, that greay one with a big bow. It's so romantic and feminine! I also like the way you combined it with simple black pants, looks elegant!

      I always have a feeling that February just flies by...Thank you for your comments. The grey blouse is from silk, I've bought it years ago and it is one of those items you can wear on any occasion... or just when you cannot think of anything to wear:)

    Meni opcenito vrijeme nekako jurisa zadnjih mjeseci...urotilo se protiv mene da sto prije udjem u tridesetu :) Uz sve divote u ovome postu o veljaci, posebno me odusevila klopica...kao i uvijek...padam na klopu uvijek :)

    I like the books of Amy Tan - I read already many books from her and I enjoyed each of her books. My February was good although I have to admit that I can´t believe that it is already March! At work it was busy but also really satisfying as I got many good feedback and was able to finish some projects. And I had meetings with a few interesting persons in my private life :)

    I love your hairdo with the braid so much! As already mentioned I do the same hairdo sometimes for my daughter when she´s wearing a Bavarian traditional dress, my hair is unfortunately not thick enough for such a hairdo ...

    Baš ti je lijepa bila veljača, puna svega i svačega :) Meni je mjesec bio kaotičan, pun nekih planiranja i dogovaranja, crtanja i apsolutno najmanje fotkanja što se nadam da će se promijeniti u ožujku (iako, ruku na srce, nije počeo baš nešto obećavajuće) :D

    Tebi je februar bio vrlo dinamičan, rekla bih. I ovi radovi su neka dinamika, dešavanja.

    Meni je februar protekao u pripremama za 8. mart, obavezama, jurnjavi, plaćanju računa, polaganju ispita... Svašta nešto. Radujem se proleću, naravno, jer evo, već počinje ona moja cvetna priča a nadam se da će ih biti još. Imam planove, obaveze. Sve u svemu, super je, samo da se ne dokoniše.

    Zaista predivan sažetak proteklog meseca :) Meni je lično proleteo, uvek mi proleti, čini mi se i naravno, radujem se proleću... Uvek su mi bili interesantni nazivi meseca u hrvatskom i drago mi je da sam saznala značenje koje se krije iza reči ožujak :)

    Love reading through your February recap dear.x It seems like you had a very productive month, love your photography posts and you are so talented when it comes to fashion illustrations and painting. I used to take painting classes for years and now it seems like I forgotten about everything, wish I didn't stop it! Love your outfits, you should post every single one of them, we enjoy reading and seeing them:) I have recently bought a pair of black trousers and it seems like I am wearing them every single day! February was a really good month for me as well. Time flies but I am excited for all the new things that are coming! Have a lovely rest of the week dear.x

Today I shall review The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak. I was actually gifted this book. What a wonderful present it proved to be! FORGIVENESS DAY BY URSULA K. LE GUIN (BOOK REVIEW AND AN AUTUMN STYLING)

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! How are you today? I'm back with another Ursula K. Le Guin book review. In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own. I think it functions well as a stand alone novella. I listened to it in audio form, and I didn't have any problems following the story.  The world building is simple and effective.  Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! It's almost ten. I've had a long week and I'm quite tired and sleepy. However, I'll try to wrap this post up for you tonight. What kind of post? Well, a post about art. Fashion art to be more precise.  I've been on a roll lately with my art posts. After a period of not posting my art at all, due to a variety of reasons, I started posting my art in every post. I got back to my destination art series, and now it's time for another post in my fashion art series. Friday Fashion Illustration  is somewhat of a regular feature on my blog.
