      Da, nije tipično primorski... mada meni se zapravo sviđaju ove nove zgrade (većina dio sveučilišnog kampusa), dosta su se lijepo uklopile u kvart, a i ovi kvartovi (Split 3, Trstenik) su dosta planski rađeni što je kod nas postala rijetkost.

    Lepo je što si nam pokazala i ovaj drugačiji deo Splita, mislim da svi zamišljamo more, stare uliičice i sve te tipične detalje vezane za primorski grad. Baš mi se sviđa :)

SIX OF CROWS BY LEIGH BARDUGO, A DETAILED BOOK REVIEW

  Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers. In this post, I shall review Six of Crows , a fantasy novel by Leigh Bardugo . Published in 2015,  it is set two years after events described in   Ruin and Raising (that is the final novel in the Shadow & Bone Trilogy ). Six of Crows is a duology, meaning that it has a sequel, but first things first.  So, I've read Six of Crows . Was it worth the hype? Yes, it most definitely was. Compared with the Shadow & Bone trilogy, the writing is smoother. On overall, Six of Crows duology is noticeably more polished when it comes to writing than the Shadow &Bone trilogy. The plot in Six of Crows feels more connected and organized, and every detail seems to fit perfectly. 10 STYLE LESSONS LEARNED FROM MALENA/ MONICA BELLUCCI

With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Bellucci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.   The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Seeing that Malena is a historical movie, Maurizio choose quite timeless outfits and cuts that will ever go out of style. That fact makes Malena movie the perfect place to look for inspiration! BLOOD OF ELVES, A NOVEL BY ANDRZEJ SAPKOWSKI, WITCHER #3 (BOOK REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION)

 Hello. In this post, I shall review Blood of Elves , the third book  and the first novel in the Witcher saga.  The first two books in the Witcher saga are collection of short stories. So, Blood of Elves is actually the first novel in the series.  As I explained in my last post, I was a bit surprised to find out that  Sword of Destiny  was a short story collection (for some reason I thought it was a novel), but I was taken by it  immediately. Soon enough, I found myself enjoying the short story format. I must say, I ended up falling in love with the book (    SWORD OF DESTINY BY ANDRZEJ SAPKOWSKI , THE WITCHER SERIES #2 ) .   Nevertheless, I was really curious to read the first novel. Again, I took to it right away. Once I started reading Blood of Elves, I immediately felt drawn into the story. t-shirt dress (outfit post)/ majica haljina (odjevna kombinacija)

I don't have a t-shirt dress in my closet but I found a way to fix that...Moreover, it is  a way that doesn't involves shopping. Imagine that! I just wore a t-shirt over an old dress. You can do this two ways, by keeping the t-shirt the way it was or by tying it in a knot. I styled it both ways in these photographs. What do you say about it? Yes or no? Would you wore a tee like this? The photographs were taken last week in Split city (Trstenik and Zenta to be more precise). You can google these locations it if you want to find out more. This is another no make up, no hairdo post, but since it is practically Summer, that is in some way quite appropriate. If you spent each day on a different Croatian island, it would take you three years to visit them all, as there are more than a 1, 200 islands in Croatia. I visted only one Croatian island this Summer and I'm currently trying to work out in my head how many of them I have visited in my lifetime. Alas, only a handful of them. So many Croatian islands to visit, so little time!   Standing on my grandmother's terrace, I realize the root of my fascination with rocks. I think this is the longest I have ever gone without posting anything. Ever since I started my blog, I've been posting very frequently.  I had a lot of posts prepared ( I always do) but I don't like posting when I don't have the time and energy to visit other blogs (and this flu really got to me). I don't see the point in posting if I know I won't be able to answer the comments. I'm not saying that is the right way, but it is my way.  I've been thinking about blogging lately and I think that following other blogs might be enough for me. Charlotte Perkins Gilman, The Yellow Wallpaper (book recommendation/preporuka knjiga)

Today just one quick reading recommendation. The Yellow Wallpape r is a short story by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. It was published in 1899 (as you can see on these photographs). Here is a link to a pdf version of this text. The author's right are expired, so feel free to pass it around- it is one of advantages of reading classics:). I do consider this short story to be a classic. It tells a story of a woman who is recovering from post natal depression and is confined to her room. It is considered to one of the earliest works of American feminist literature. In its time it was a very important and ground breaking work because it shed more light on mistreatment of depression in woman (and in many ways it is still relevant), but I think that even if we put all of that aside, it is still a  great story.
