Advent wreath (DIY) / Advenski vijenac (uradi sam)

Yesterday we were supposed to light the first candle on the advent wreath (or advent crown as some call it). I decided to used the one from last yeast (with candels that I painted myself). However, I wanted something new so in five minutes I created a brand new advent wreath. I was able it in that short time probably because I already had some home made decorations ( I love making decorations as you know). I just placed four candles on a plate and added some stones, artificial flowers and coloured hard cookies that I have been using as table decorations (even as jewerly) throughout this year. Jučer smo trebali zapaliti prvu svijeću advenskog vijenca. Odučila sam koristiti onaj od prošle godine (sa svijećama koje sam sama oslikala). No, htjela sam i nešto novo pa sam u pet minuta napravila skroz novi advenski vijenac. Vjerojatno sam ga mogla tako brzo napraviti jer imam dosta ručno rađenih dekoracija pri ruci (kao što znate volim ih izrađivati). Jednostavno sam stavila četiri svijeće na tanjur i dodala malo kamenčića, umjetnog cvijeća i obojanih tvrdih kolača koje sam koristila kao dekoracije za stol (čak i kao nakit) cijele ove godine.

With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Belluci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.  The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Les Miserables (outfit post+ book recommendation/ odjevna objava+ preporuka knjige)

I honestly don't remember when I enjoyed a novel as much as Les Miserable s by Victor Hugo and that, taken the fact that literature is a huge part of my life, is saying a lot. I loved absolutely everything about it, not just the characters and the story but also those parts that were historical and philosophical. This is a true classic and I good reminder to myself why it is always a good idea to get back to the classics. Now, about the outfit. Cat ears that I'm wearing started out as a necklace, worked part time as a belt and a bracelet, but you know how it is with jewellery I make, I always find new uses for it. Sometimes I think about the different function in the process of designing my pieces, but sometimes I get ideas as time goes up. This necklace I'm wearing is also my creation. VISIT ZAVALA ON ISLAND HVAR/ POSJETITE ZAVALU NA OTOKU HVARU

Zavala was love at first sight. I can still see its beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea when I close my eyes. Such a serene place to be! I visited Zavala about two months ago (in April) when we finally managed to find some time for a short visit. I have never visited prior to that day, despite having roots on the island. However, since I'm currently living on island Hvar, I really have no excuse to miss out on exploring Zavala. Zavala je bila ljubav na prvi pogled. Još uvijek mogu vidjeti njene prekrasne plaže i kristalno more kada zatvorim oči. Tako mirno mjesto! Prije otprilike dva mjeseca (u travnju) konačno smo ulovili trenutak za otići nakratko u Zavalu. I was attracted to this pair immediately. What impressed me in particular was the unique heel design.  I got a lot of wear of this white pair.
