cats (photography)/ mačke (fotografija)








I've always maintained that if there is an animal that can be considered stylish it has to be a member of feline family. Remember that character on Red Dwarf (old British sitcom), the one that was called simply  Cat? This character cat was something like a human being but he evolved from a spaceship's cat  (don't ask me to explain) Such a great show, I really enjoyed their silly humour. Anyhow, this character was obsessed with clothes and fashion. What do you think about cats? Are they stylish? Whenever I take photos of them I'm sure of this.

Uvijek sam govorila da ako postoji životinja koja ima stila, sigurno dolazi iz obitelji mačaka. Sjećate se onog lika iz Crvenog patuljka (stare britanske serije), kojeg su zvali jednostavno mačak, a evoluriao je iz mačka koji se našao na svemirskom brodu (ne pitajte kako). Ah, bila je to predobra serija, volim taj njihov blesavi humor. Mačak je bio opsjednut modom i odjećom. Što mislite o mačkama? Imaju li stila? kad god ih fotografiram, sigurna sam u to.

    Joooj, obožavala sam Crvenog patuljka! Općenito obožavam te stare brit serije, nema boljih! Hm, ja sam više "dog person", ali nemam ništa protiv mačkica... mislim da su prave kokice... uostalom, ima divnih vrsta mačaka koje su toliko lijepe da ti pamet stane! Prva fotkica mi je najdraža!

      Crveni patuljak je stvarno kultna serija, gledala sam ga uvijek kad bi ga reprizirali...
      Ima stvarno lijepih mačaka, baš bi jednom voljela otići na izložbu. Ja trenutno nemam nijednu, možda jednog dana je ponovo nabavim.

    Me and my bf have been taking care of a cat since he was born and he's now 2 weeks old. I bet He'll be just like that cat from the first picture :)

    I like cats, my grandmothers neighbours cat liked us so much he refused to go back to his home lol. We had to carry him back and he used to dig his claws into our skin and hold on when we passed him over, he wasn't mistreated by his owners, its just that they had a bunch of dogs. How is your growing dog? xoxo.

THE WILD GIRLS, A STORY BY URSULA K. LE GUIN (REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION)

Hello fellow bloggers and/or blog readers! In this post, I'll share my review for Ursula K. Le Guin short story The Wild Girls . Published in 2011, this powerful short story tells a touching tale of slavery , trauma , loss and survival. Sisterly love is at the core of this immensely sad, complex and profound story. If you want to read an intelligent and multifaceted story focused on female characters, and set in a dystopian society, look no further. Don't expect a happy ending, though! This is not that kind of story. I actually listened to this short story (that isn't so short, it sorts of feels like a novella). I planned to listen to it while I do Pilates, but I wasn't aware of how serious and tragic the story truly was. I've read an awful lot of Le Guin's writing, so I know her writing can be ambitious, complex and challenging. SHADOW AND BONE BY LEIGH BARDUGO (BOOK REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION)

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! In this post, I shall review Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo ,  the first novel in the Shadow and Bone trilogy. Published in 2012, Shadow and Bone is a young adult fantasy novel featuring a young female protagonist Alina Starkov who tries to find her way in a world troubled by war and class divisions. The novel is set in Ravka, a fantasy world inspired by feudal Russia, but still unique in its own way. The world Alina Starkov inhabits has its own mythology and magic, and the worldbuilding is quite interesting. For example, there are Grishas, people who have magical powers, that are partly based on study of science and partly on instinct. It's actually one of my favourite seasonal transitions, because it allows us to easily play with layers and textures.
