June has been an interesting month with lots of crazy weather changes, but at least we were not bored... Lipanj je bio zanimljivi mjesec sa puno ludih promjena vremena, ali barem nam nije bilo dosadno.
good morning my dear friend Ivana, love all your outfits, you look so lovely in the photos!your dog is sooo cute!!many kisses my friend, wish you a beautiful weekend! http://shoppingtherapy153.blogspot.gr/
I see you are living life to the fullest and leaving nothing to regret. I am so happy you are able to truly enjoy yourself and all the beautiful places life has to offer you! :)))
All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.
Hello dear readers! In this post, I'll share my impressions from Miro Gavran 's book promotion. Miro Gavran is an established Croatian author that I hold in high esteem. So, when I saw then he was coming to Mostar, I knew I had to be there, no matter how long my work day had been. Anyway, I'll also share with you what I wore to this book promotion. What you wear for book promotions? I attend book promotions quite often and I suppose I dress somewhat formal for them (example here ). I'm a Renaissance woman at heart. I remember how one of my professors (Slobodan Prosperov Novak) told me that in Renaissance people would get dressed up before they stepped into their libraries. They thought that one should dress up to be in presence of books. For, books are a collection of knowledge and art. So, dressing up to be in presence of knowledge and art makes perfect sense. A library is like a museum, really. One should have some decorum when it comes to books! I admit that I
Hello, there! In this post, I'll show you my tips for styling statement balloon sleeves. I'll also add in a book review, because (to paraphrase) Oscar Wilde and Coco Chanel, a girl who should be four things: classy, fabulous, overdressed and overeducated. Wilde was known to be a dandy. The book I'm reviewing is titled Dandy, so there's a connection. Therefore, I'm combing these two quotes. Wilde famously said he makes up for being overdressed by being overeducated and Chanel said that a girl should be classy and fabulous. So, we shall combine outfit posts with book posts because being well read is basically the same as being well educated. Well, at least in my book. Mixing outfit posts with book posts, it's kind of more fun that way. I hope it's entertaining for you as well, because you can always fast forward the part of the post that's less compelling to you at the moment. Dandy was actually my first novel by Jan Guillou so I'm looking forwar
Today I'm showing you another way to style this white dress I received from dresslink . You can see my first outfit here . This time I wore a vintage midi skirt over the dress, so I've basically turned it into a blouse. I wore a vintage scarf over it and accessorized with massive earrings and many bracelets to create a bit of the ethic/ traditinal vibe. To finish this look, I opted for a gold minibag and matching heels. As far as photograph goes, the shooting took place at two difference locations. One is in a small village named Vihovići, that is located in vicinity of Mostar and from this place you have a wonderful panorama of beautiful Mostar city. The second part of this shooting took place in Mostar itself. Which set of photographs do you prefer? Danas vam pokazujem još jedan način za nošenje ove bijele haljine koju sam dobila od dresslinka . Možete vidjeti prvu kombinaciju ovdje . Ovaj put sam nosila vintage midi suknju preko ove haljine , tako sam j
When I picked up On the Road the first thing that struck me was the unique way it was written. I was mesmerized by the Kerouac's prose that felt so much as poetry. The novel is dynamic, one event happening after another, one crisis followed by another. If you miss even one paragraph (because your mind wonders someplace else) , you may totally got lost in the events. There is something very raw about this novel, perhaps because it was supposedly written in only 3 weeks. This strange mix of poetry and rawness really fascinated me. Naturally, I knew about Kerouac, the beat generation and all that. I read with fascination and interest until I felt that something was bugging me. Something didn't feel right. What is that, you might ask? “I realized these were all the snapshots which our children would look at someday with wonder, thinking their parents had lived smooth, well-ordered lives and got up in the morning to walk pr
I was thinking about why I like tartan pattern so much, when one reason crossed my mind. I figured that it probably has something to do with the history and the culture behind this particular pattern. After all, I always say that traditional and folklore clothing (be it original or reproduced) carries additional value. Traditional patterns can be such an wonderful source of inspiration. Traditional patters have soul to them, one might say. The history of tartan is particularly interesting. Today we mostly associate tartan with Scotland, but according to some historians, tartan like fabrics were used by ancient Celtic populations spreading across the British Isles as early as the sixth and the eight century BC. Well, that one old pattern for sure! However, even if tartan clothes are really as old as ancient Celts, it is the still Scotland that is responsible for tartan we know today. Did you know that different tartan patterns can represent different Scottish families? Something like a
Hello, how are you doing? Today we're reviewing a non fiction book- The Shaping of the Modern Mind . Book reviews and recommendations are an essential aspect of my blog, but usually my reading choices lean towards fiction, mostly fine literature. However, today I'll be reviewing a book that could be labelled as an academical reading belonging to humanities. As someone who studied literature, this is right up my alley. The book is academical, but it's not hard to follow. Moreover, it's not very long either. It's not a comprehensive survey of modern thought, but it's an useful guidebook. This was also my first book by this author. I think I'll try and read more of him in the future. I should try and read more non fiction! How about you? Do you prefer fiction or non fiction? How to read more and/or transform yourself into a person that reads on daily basis? Learn these 7 reading strategies! I picked up this book at a vintage bookshop in Split . The books in
Startas sneakers. 'There is only one problem', I said to myself after I bought them, 'How am I supposed to want to take them off my feet when they're so damn comfortable?'. I resolved that problems by wearing them every day for a whole week and returning to my heels collection only after I started to miss it. However, startas will from now on be a regural feature on this blog as I plan to wear them at least once a week (they are a great choice for Summer). In this outfit I paired them with this moda in dress that was featured on this blog at least a dozen times and my new necklace. Speaking of which, I'm working on a new jewellery collection. I'm thinking of making it available for sale here on my blog. What do you think? I've put a lot of time and energy into the designer part and I've been testing the necklaces for a whole year now. I think I've come up with something and they may be ready for sale. I wanted to create affortable neckl
Mostar is the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, second only to Sarajevo. Being the the largest city in the Herzegovina region, Mostar is the natural business, administrative, cultural, educational and tourist centre of the Herzegovina region. Many people visit this beautiful city for a variety of river. Besides being absolutely stunning, Mostar is also know for record high temperatures in the summertime. Hence, you should pay special attention to the clothes you're wearing when visiting Mostar, especially if you're venturing outside in daylight or when the sun is still strong. Today I'll show you some outfit tips for visiting Mostar city in Summer. Let's get started! WEARING: A VINTAGE WHITE BLOUSE , DIY NECKLACE, AN OLIVE PENCIL SKIRT (NO NAME) AND A PAIR OF DRIVING LOAFERS I've blogged about Mostar many times on my post. There is much talk of sustainability in fashion these days and that's great because it's an important subject. I'm definitely interested in the topic of sustainability in fashion and I do enjoy reading and learning about it. We definitely still have a long way to go in terms of making fashion more friendly towards our environment on a global level. I hope that future will teach us new ways to be more sustainable. There are definitely a lot of talented and gifted individuals who are working on making clothes more sustainable. Moreover, there are many ways in which we can promote sustainability ourselves. One of the ways I'm trying to promote sustainability on my blog by showing you different ways to wear the same item. This time it's all about these high caramel boots. 30 + WAYS TO STYLE A PAIR OF HEELED CARAMEL BOOTS I have had this pair of heeled caramel boots for a few years.
