Fashion illustrations of the day (markers)

Hello darlings! How are you? Can you believe that February ends today? This month has just flown by. I know it's the shortest month in the year but still. Today I'm going to share 3 fashion illustrations and sketches with you. The medium for all of them is marker on paper. I don't work with markers that often, but sometimes it is good to try something different. The fashion sketches I'm sharing are all about 3 colours: purple, green and red. Spring is in the air, so this is my reflection on all those trends for the new season. The first illustration shows a girl wearing a purple and blue jumpsuit. The second illustration features a girl wearing a transparent green dress with a top and a skirt under that dress. The third illustration shows two girls in red gowns.

    your first painting reminds me on my catsuit/jumpsuit - this thing is also tight and i still found no kombo to this - such a shame...;-(

    I love drawing! In fact I used to draw/design clothes on a doodle book that I owned before. I ain't a pro but I love how art soothes my soul. I don't focus so much on drawing these days as I often get occupied by work but on my spare time, I paint. :) I just finished my recreation of Hokusai's The Great Wave and I'm happy with my work because the process made me feel great :D

 Hello! In this post, I'll take you back to Split city to share a book review and an outfit post. I'll review a book that made be both cry and laugh. You could say I believe in fate. Never has fate seemed more obvious to me than when it comes to books. So many times in my life has a book arrived at the right time! Every time that happened, I would wonder: 'What are the odds of that?'  There's a whole story behind how I bought this  book, and I will share a more detailed account soon. THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ BY L.FRANK BAUM (BOOK REVIEW)

Today I'll review a true classic of children's literature: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz , a book by L. Frank Baum. I have read this book fairly recently, so it is still fresh in my mind.  I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by T he Wonderful Wizard of Oz .  I actually enjoyed it a lot, so my book review is also  a book recommendation.   This classic of children literature is such a well rounded tale.  You can read The  Wonderful Wizard of Oz for free on the pages of project Gutenberg here  (that's also the source for the quotes I'm going to use). OZZ STUDENTS' FASHION SHOW, MENTOR FASHION DESIGNER STANKA ZOVKO (MOSTAR INTERNATIONAL FAIR)

EN  Hello! Today I'm happy to share with you a wonderful fashion show I attended last Friday at Mostar International Fair. As you might remember, I regularly visit Mostar International Fair.  Anyhow, this time I was there to see and support a  really special fashion show. This fashion show showed creations from students who attended a fashion sewing and design course held by designer Stanka Zovko. If you remember, a few years back  I attended this sewing and design course myself. I was invited to present my creations as well. I couldn't participate myself this year due to previous engagements, but who knows maybe next year I'll get the chance. How amazing would it be to participate as a fashion designer? Sights to see, Places to visit: Lake Blidinje/ Mjesta za posjetiti, znamenitosti za vidjeti : jezero Blidinje

Today we shall talk about Lake Blidinje. As the name would imply, this lake is located in the nature park Blidinje. It is the largest mountain lake in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located at an elevation of 1.885 meters (3.888 feet). I personally haven't seen a mountain lake of this size before. There is something almost surreal about seeing a lake in mountains, especially at this kind of altitude. I wonder is anyone  brave enough to swim in there. Maybe I will dare it some other time. This lake isn't very deep, its maximal dept is about 3 meters and its average dept is only 0.5 m. Its width and length are a bit over 2 km, but these two can vary depending on weather conditions. I can tell you that this lake was a very impressive sight. Anyhow, you will get to tour it too, at least virtually, because today I will show you lake Blidinje from different angles.  Hello dear readers! If you would like to visit a fascinating historical settlement, you've come to the right place. Today I'm taking you to Ston, Croatia! We visited Ston town back in March 2023. As was the case with our last visit to Ston six years ago, this too was an unplanned  visit, a spur of the moment thing. My aunt and uncle were there for a Seafood festival, so we drove to Ston to meet them. We enjoyed a nice walk and grabbed a cup of coffee with them. We didn't have the time to linger or to join the food festival. My working hours are insane this year and the work never seems to end. At the same time, the prices of living are skyrocketing, so despite being exhausted, I'm always looking for additional work. So, as you can imagine I was very grateful for this short trip and a little break.  The weather was simply perfect, sunny and warm. When we talk about travelling outfits, comfort is definitely something we need to consider. Everyone wants to be comfortable when travelling, right? As much as visiting a certain town or resort can be fun and relaxing, the process of getting there might be a little stressful. Comfort is definitely important. However, the thing is that everyone has a different definition of comfort. Some ladies might feel perfectly comfortable in a dress, while others might prefer the typical jeans and tee outfit formula. Sure, it makes sense to follow some rules. Opting for practical and utility wear might make your life easier when travelling. Similarly, wearing breathable, comfortable and natural fabrics in summer makes sense. However, what if you have a fabulous polyester vintage item you're dying to wear? POST UPDATE 2024  FRIDAY FASHION ILLUSTRATION: FANTASY Let's TALK illustration.  Sometimes I illustrate items that I actually wear. Sometimes I illustrate my own outfits.  Sometimes I illustrate other bloggers.  I HAVE ILLUSTRATED THIS LEATHER JACKET TWICE!   HERE  &  HERE  Browsing my archives I realized that I have illustrated this leather jacket at least twice before. Moreover, counting the post today I have illustrated this pair of high brown boots four times! Is it me or am I starting to wear the items I have illustrated more often? Do you think that's possible? Perhaps illustrating them creates a sort of  visual fashion memento in my head.   SHOULD YOU USE A REFERENCE WHEN PRACTICING FASHION ILLUSTRATION? Is reference important? Should I drew with a reference or from imagination? My answer would be that you should do both.
