HOW TO FIND THE PERFECT EASTER OUTFIT FOR YOURSELF? IDEAS AND TIPS

You don't have to be Christian or religious to enjoy and celebrate Easter. Many of Eastern traditions  we know today actually predate Christianity. However, today I won't get into European Eastern customs and traditions (as fascinating as the theme is), but rather I'll talk about Easter day fashion. How to select a perfect Easter outfit? My advice is to start early, before all of the holiday stress. Take some time to figure out what kind of styles do you enjoy the most. You don't have to pick your outfit ahead of time if that is not your thing, but now is a good time to look for inspiration. That might help get you into the mood for Easter.

Festivities are certainly something most of us look forward to, but sometimes the stress of the holidays can get to us and make us enjoy those special days less. To ensure that doesn't happen, it is good to prepare in advance. Don't leave everything up to the last moment. Give your self time to rest (at least a little) before and after the holidays. Go to sleep a half hour earlier. Treat yourself to a home spa day. Try out different outfits and see what feels and looks good for you. You know, I think this is something we should do at the start of every new season, clean our closets and then shop them and you know play the dress up game a bit. With new season in, it is important to know what items in our closet are wearable and likable and what pieces don't fit or aren't relevant anymore.

My first outfit proposal is something I wore for a date with my husband the other day. I paired this white cherry print dress with an olive blazer and block heels.  I think this blazer is a good pairing with this dress because of its open cut (no buttons) that makes the dress more visible. It's a pretty dress, isn't it? The olive also matches the green leaves on the cherry print pretty well. I think this outfit would look even more spring appropriate without tights, but I tend to wear tights until it gets quite warm. I actually wore the same dress for Valentine's day, the only difference being that I had paired it with a red blazer and stilettos back then. I also wore it without tights that day, but only inside of my home that is incredibly warm (it's a brand new house, so we have great isolation). A nice dress paired with heels is always a nice Easter outfit idea. You can always add a blazer and tights if Easter day doesn't prove to be as warm as you expected it to be.

OUTFIT PROPOSAL
You know yourself best, so you know if it is better to pick your Easter outfit before the big day. Some people like to wait for that day while others prefer to plan their Easter look before. If you like to keep your options open, you can still pick something as a back up. Knowing how and where you'll celebrate Easter will typically make your choice easier.

PROS& CONS OF CHOOSING AN EASTER OUTFIT EARLY
What are some of the pros of picking your Easter outfit early?
1. You don't have to think about what you will wear and that means one less thing on your mind.
2. Picking an outfit early will save you time. You'll have more time to think about other things.
3. Planning your outfit ahead of time will make it easier for you to decide what you want to do with your hair and make up.
What are some of the cons of choosing your Easter styling in advance?
1. You might want to change your mind and then you'll be where you started.
2. It might make you feel less spontaneous and relaxed.
3. You might overthink it and became stressed in the process.

WOMEN'S EASTER OUTFIT IDEAS FOR EVERY KIND OF STYLE & OCCASION

I tend to write my style tips for ladies, for let's face it, I don't have that much experience dressing men. Today I have prepared several Easter outfit ideas and tips for you. I think that a perfect Easter outfit really depends on your personal style. Knowing your style and body type makes dressing up easier. I'm strong believer in wearing what you feel comfortable in. Sometimes we need to push ourselves out of our comfort zone, but there is no point in putting something on that you dislike.  Another thing to consider is how you're going to celebrate Easter. Being practical is as important as being comfortable. To find the perfect Easter outfit for ourselves we need to consider two key things: our personal style & weather prognosis.

LEOPARD PRINT STYLING

They say that leopard print is timeless, so why not wear it for Easter day? Pair a leopard blouse with a nice skirt and a pair of heels and you're all set to go. Throw a blazer over it if you need some extra layers and you'll all set to go. Fun tights are a good way to accessorize as well. Don't forget about hats. A nice straw hat can give your outfit that extra something.

A SIMPLE BLUE DRESS

If you're not feeling the patters, why not choose a dress in one colour? If you end up feeling that your simple dress isn't festive enough, you can always dress it up with interesting accessories, such as a statement necklace or an interesting pair of tights.

A COMFY EASTER STYLING- A PAIR OF JEANS AND A PRETTY BLOUSE

If you feel like wearing your jeans and sneakers, you can still look dressed up if you pick a romantic blouse. A striped blouse with ruffled sleeves and a peter pan collar might be all you need to give your outfit that spring feeling. A nice kimono might be a way to go too. You get to make your own rules. Whatever makes you feel comfortable and pretty might be your perfect Easter styling. Alternatively, you might opt for white jeans and pair them with a white blouse or a dress. That will make the outfit automatically look more pulled together and dressed up.

A METALLIC DRESS

If you want something different, why not opt for a metallic dress? You can always dress it down with sneakers or boots, if you feel like it might be too much for daytime. Metallic dresses are trending right now, and finding one that will suit your skin tone shouldn't be that difficult. The general rule is  to pick gold for warmer skin tones and silver for colder skin tones, but undertones shouldn't be ignored as well. As a rule, rose gold will accentuate the redness is a person skin, so if your skin tone is fair with red undertones stay away from rose gold.  Mixing metals isn't a faux pas anymore, so feel free to mix and match. Look at the jewellery you like to wear and that looks good on you, and pick your metallic dresses or outfits accordingly.

HOW TO STYLE A METALLIC DRESS?

ALL DRESSED UP

If you feel like getting all dressed up, my tip is to draw on your past experiences. Remember some lovely special occasion outfits you pulled up in the past. Why not stick with what works for you? Think about outfits you wore to weddings and other formal occasions. There is no shame in repeating a look if it works for you. If you're celebrating with your family, why not ask family members for help with make up and hairdo? Getting ready together might give you some fun family memories to cherish.

 A PASTEL PINK DRESS

If you ask me what my ideal Easter outfit would look like, I would answer: a pastel dress and a pair of heels. Pastels are perfect for Easter. Pastel pink is such a feminine shade, and it is simply ideal for spring. I showed you a few outfits with a vintage pink dress not too long ago and bellow you can see another styling idea. The pink vintage pleated beauty has been my Easter outfit choice in the past, and it might be what I will wear this Easter as well. Do you have some Easter day styling tips to share yourself?

And those iridescent shoes you wore with your lacy dress - those are great! I'm working on what I'm going to wear for Easter since we're going out for lunch that day and I do want to dress up a bit. Thanks so much for the inspiration!

  21. Hey Ivana, how you doing? Hope everything is going right with your life and is good to see that you still creative with your content! You don't upload things to your IG anymore?

All good with this post! And you're right... a lot of people are not Christian but they do celebrate easter in Europe, maybe as a matter of tradition but it still has a longer presence, the same with Christmas but I've noticed that is not the same when we talk about Latin America where religion is still something very important in the daily life.

All your options are so good, I feel like have style and comfort, both two of the things I look for when I pick an outfit I'll be wearing for a long day. I'd say my favorite is the one with the puffy red dress and the one with the cherry print, it is so fun and cheerful, definitely the best way to say hi to spring and to warmer weather :)

All the best and I'm gonna take a look at the other posts I missed while I was off!

That is ridiculous! I like your pink dress look best and also where you wore the white cherry dress with soft pink and your hair in a plait- it is such a feminine and gentle look which I think is great for Easter!
