This illustration has been inspired by Margot from I am every woman blog. The medium is pencil on paper. I really liked this monochrome styling with a touch of tartan print (on the collar and the cuffs of sleeves). How do you like this outfit?
Dear Ivana, hopefully you are fine and you had a wonderful weekend! I love the perfection of this illustration - what you made turned out wonderful! Thanks for sharing! xx from Bavaria/Germany, Rena www.dressedwithsoul.com

Thats a really good illustration, Ivana! I must say I prefer the ones that are with colours though but that's because they really make your illustrations come to live.
REally lovely, I liked the illustration very much, ballerinas are something understated, that people think don't look as good as high heels, but I love them! I wish you a lovely day, dear Ivana! DenisesPlanet.com
Your the newest illustration is terrific, I really like that you decided to use pencil here, again, you did great work on this drawing. What's more, your description of this outfit sounds so interesting so I visited Margot's blog - it turned out that she is from Poland too, ha ;) Moreover, glad to here that everything is fine with you, my dear, I hope that you're having lovely evening as well. ;)
All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.
Science proved that life on Earth originated in the sea but in our hearts we must have always felt it. Why otherwise would we feel so inspired by the sea? Who of us has not felt his or her heart opening up while mesmerized by the deep blueness of sea? Is it an echo of an oceanic birth of life? Is it our soul that wanders enchanted towards that greatest mystery? We feel the song of the sea, even when we don't understand it. A SELECTION OF CROATIAN POETRY RIKARD KATALINIĆ JERETOV 1869-1954 Born in Volosko (Istria, Croatia), died in Split. Yesterday I tore myself away from the laptop to make a new fashion illustration. It's been a while since I made my last fashion illustration. I've been spending an insane amount of time behind the screen lately (who ever said blogging is easy, right?) working on new blog posts. At some point yesterday, I decided to get up, grab some watercolour pencils and paint a new fashion illustration. Friday Fashion Illustration is not the most regular feature on my blog, but this summer at least I can try to change that. While I was working on my new fashion illustration, I test drove watercolour pencils from Steadler brand (not sponsored). It's been ages since I last used watercolour pencils. I'll wait for a bit before I give this brand a detailed review, but for now I can say that I quite liked these pencil watercolours. So far so good, you might say. Steadler brand claims to be sustainable and sustainability is important to me. It is something that applies to every aspect
Happy Easter Monday everyone! Today I'll talk about how to have more sustainable Easter week celebration. I'll share some of my tips as well as my 'green' Easter day traditions. Before I get into sharing those tips, let me just say that traditional Easter customs are more likely to be environmentally conscious. So, tradition is a great way to look for inspiration. Ask your elders, relatives and friends about their Easter traditions, they can give you useful tips, advice and inspiration. Naturally, internet is also a great resource for environmentally friendly Easter. There are a lot of creative people out there that are constantly coming up with sustainable decor and recipes, so why not tap into that? Feel free to share your Easter traditions as well. A great thing about collecting green tips is that most of them can be applied to any festivity! My Easter day 'green' ideas include: using natural egg dyes, using recycled Easter decor, not being wasteful with
Hello there! Today I'll share with you a repainted oil painting inspired by a souvenir I picked up in Assisi , Italy (also here ). I visited Assisi, a hometown of Saint Francis back in 2013. It took me only a day to paint the original painting in 2014 (see the post here) but it took me four days to repaint it this August- including one afternoon spent crying because I was exhausted by the effort. I'm still not sure I'm 100 % finished. Sometimes I miss the days before I started taking art classes because I was much less critical of my work back then and seemed to enjoy the process more. Not that I'm complaining. I'm very grateful that I have the means to pursue art more seriously and learn more about different mediums. That certainly wasn't always the case. While it is true that it feels like more work nowadays, I can also see the progress and that's obviously rewarding. I'm happy that it is possible for me to create paintings, especially these kind
Luckily for me, Mostar is an excellent Easter day destination. You see, I had travel plans for this Easter weekend, but I caught a bad cold so I decided to stay in the city I'm currently based in. That's actually not a bad thing because (if you ask me) Mostar makes for a great Easter day destination. Naturally, I've would have loved to visit my family, but since that wasn't possible, I'm happy to be spending Easter in Mostar. I've already cleaned and decorated my home for Easter so I'm all set. I've also prepared an outfit proposal but more about that later on. First I'll talk a bit about Mostar. Why is Mostar such a great spring destination? I can think of a number of reasons, but from top of my head I would say wonderful climate, beautiful landmarks and interesting history. Mostar is gorgeous in spring time. With its seven rivers and a number of lovely parks, Mostar can feel like a city oasis. Spending Easter in Mostar is something I would
How to wear yellow in summer? Like with any trend, if you are not sure how to tackle it, start slow. Baby steps. You can always warm up to this colour with accessories. Why not try wearing a yellow belt or a scarf? Here, for example, I wore a yellow scarf around my straw hat. Similarly, a yellow bag might be a great choice. Yellow bag is not only a great pop of colour in the summer, it is also a bag you can wear all year around. In my experience, a yellow bag is a fantastic way to cheer up any outfit. Similarly, you can take it from there and pick one clothing item in yellow while keeping the rest of the outfit in black (or whatever colour you prefer). For me personally, yellow is an easy choice. I can even imagine myself in a total yellow outfit. This plastic yellow bag I'm wearing here is an old find. I must have worn this bag a hundred times. This cropped yellow top is pretty old as well. It's from a Croatian brand that no longer exists but that I used to wear all th
Today I'll show you a couple of ways to start a brown faux leather/ faux fur coat. We'll start with a more dressed up version. Now, this brown coat comes with a faux fur hoodie and that gives it more of a casual vibe, similar to that of a parka jacket. So, I decided to dressed it up with accessories (always the best way to dress up an item). I paired this coat with predominately black accessories: a pair of stilettos, a bag, a pair of earrings and a headband. I also wore a statement necklace. The dress I was wearing under the coat was a simple grey dress (bought at Terranova some time ago), so I wasn't afraid to pile on the accessories. Scroll down to see and read more. DIY HEADBAND PROJECT: HOW I HAND SEWED THE FLORAL APPLICATIONS You already had the chance of seeing this DIY headband many times, but it's been a whole since I showed you how I actually made it. I found some floral applications and just sewed them onto the headband. I often avoid gluing in m
Time for another fashion illustration post. This time I'm sharing a mixed print illustration based on one of my recently worn outfits. I finally bought some art supplies: two sketching blocks. As you may remember, I relied mostly on digital art in the past few months. I hardly ever left the island and there aren't that many art supply shops here. However, recently I had to go to Split for medical check ups and picked up the above mentioned blocks. If art is you hobby, it is a good idea to have a sketching block at hand because we're all pressed for time and you have to catch sketching opportunities when you can. Anyhow, I sketched this look with a ballpoint pen during my catamaran ride and I coloured it with watercolour pencils later on. I used Staedtler Noris aquarell 144 10 watercolour pencils (not sponsored). I've had these watercolour pencils for about a year now and I'm quite happy with them. You can see the first fashion illustration I made with them here .
Hello dear ideas! Today I'm back with some circus themed art & crafts ideas that are suitable for both children and adults. They are fairly simple to do and not time consuming at all. You can do these crafts with the young ones or by yourself. If you're looking for some easy circus themed DIY ideas, you've come to the right place. I have been testing all of these circus themed art & crafts ideas while working in the tourist animation sector this summer, so I figured why not share some of those ideas with you. During the course of this summer, I've held a number of creative mini club Circus themed workshops and they were a lot of fun to do. These circus themed crafts are great if you're looking for something creative to do. Moreover, these DIY projects can also make for wonderful handmade gift ideas. Why not make a circus themed notebook or a birthday card for someone? CIRCUS THEMED NOTEBOOKS AND SKETCHBOOKS This is a great activity that is suitable for bo
