Once a bookworm always a bookworm (outfit post) / Jednom knjiški crv uvijek knjiški crv (odjevna objava)

If I was a shoppingholic I would say : 'I was so happy when I bought this tote bag, I mean isn't this inscription so adorable?'. However, since I'm a DIYaholic, I must say: 'I was so happy when I hand painted this old tote bag. Isn't this incription I made so adorable?'. Hm, now that I think about it, there is a certain similiarity between a shopaholic and a DIYaholic. We're both passionate about things and we invest a certain amount of time in getting what we want. To each its own as they say, so far I prefer DIY, but there are certainly advantages to shopping, like not having to spend half a day cleaning your house after all your DIY projects. So you remember these sunglasses that I repainted recently? Well, there is another DIY element in the look and it is this lovely earring that I will talk more about  some other time.....

In the meantime, you can see this tote bag styled for the first time here. You can see one of my numerous 'let's paint on clothes' projects here.  Now, about the oufit....sorry, I'm not feeling it.  Let's talk about books instead. At the moment I'm reading Les Misérables. I can't believe I haven't read it before, because I've read most of the classics. I tell you, I'm so head over heels with this novel. I'm so glad I gave up on watching the recent movie version....I must have heard somewhere how it ends but it didn't stay in my head, so no spoilers please. Don't tell me how it ends! Please don't!

  13. The worm has turned....out amazing :) Hello cute bookworm! Great job on the bag and very cool dress. Always SO happy to see those gorgeous legs and the open-toed shoes are a nice bonus as well. So exciting :) Beautiful closeups too, dear. So glad you include those, you are quite lovely! As for the ending of Les Mis, I will not spoil it except to say the plot really gets moving when the Avengers show up. Shhhhhhhh! :) xoxo

Aw, I have to read this book too, because I saw the musical and it was amazing (I liked the songs and the story generally) :) And you did great DIY, I always repeated to myself (and to others) that the DIYs are great, because these things have special meaning to us :) And what's more, you look so pretty and feminine in this dress, Ivana ;)

Dear Ivana, I like you so much in this look, you look wonderful, very elegant and like a true lady <3 And I think you are not only a DIYaholic - you are an artist and I love as usual what you created. I think I'm more the bookaholic ... although I have to admit that I haven't read Les Miserables so far. Obviously this is a fail as you are so fascinated by this book. At least there is no danger that I can tell you the end :) Wish you a wonderful rest of the week!

  59. i think you know, that i love your green dress. and now i see you for the first time wearing a belt on this. but i think that this belt is very unique and it looks for me, that this thing has a little bit of an hard-look/domina-style. in my opinion it´s not the right place and outfit to wear a belt like this. it reminds me all the time on a (domina) belt like this one: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NjgzWDEwMjQ=/z/DZMAAOSwfcVULG3D/$_72.JPG

ok this thing is red, but i think you know what i mean.

a belt like this one http://g.nordstromimage.com/ImageGallery/store/product/Large/1/_5743161.jpg - just in white - would look great on this.

    your thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  60. my husband bought me this belt, so it is his taste:)..but I think with this dress, this belt is ok. If it was some other dress ( a shorter one) than I think it would be too much. This way it seems like an ordinary outfit.

I do like that second belt, the one you suggested in your link. This belt is perfect!
