DIY bracelet---narukvica koju sam ušila


Occasionally I suffer from allergy to metals. This is how I got an idea to make different pieces of jewelry from recycled fabric (that and I am really obsessed with recycling). This bracelet I have sewn in one afternoon together with a lot more similar pieces (but I like this one best) and one collar necklace that you have already seen...That sudden inspiration cost me some pain because when I was done with all the sewing my fingers were really hurting. It is always like that with me...when I get inspired, I don't know how to stop...and speaking of DIY, I yet have to explain the yellow belt, right? I'll get to that, I promise:) I'm also thinking about doing a post about different ways to wear a scarf, would you like to see that?

Povremeno imam alergiju na metale, no baš me to nadahnulo da napravim nekoliko komada nakita od reciklirane tkanine (to a i nekako mi je recikliranje opsesija). Ovu narukvicu sam ušila jedno popodne skupa sa hrpom drugih stvari , sličnih narukvica (ali ova mi je najdraža), uključujući i ogrlicu ovratnik (neki bi rekli kolet ili kragnu) koju ste već imali priliku vidjeti...To iznenadno nadahnuće priuštilo mi je i malo boli jer su me nakon toliko šivanja u jednom danu zaboljeli prsti. No, uvijek je tako sa mnom, dobijem neku ideju i ne znam kad treba stati...a još vam dugujem objašnjene o žutom remenu, zar ne? Neki drugi put;) Usput, biste li htjeli vidjeti post o različitim načinima nošenja rupca ( marame)?

    Super ideja! Recikliranje i DIY mene uvijek oraspoloži, osobito ako bude uspješno haha :D Narukvica je baš fora, i još više, jer si ju sama napravila :)

SPRING IN SPLIT : 3 OUTFITS, ONE WORN FOR AN ART EXHIBITION

Hello! Spring break is officially over for me. Today was my second day back at work and I'm exhausted. The first day was fun, we've all happy to see one another again and all that, but the second day tired me out. The end of the week is far away, too. It takes time to get used to working from 7 to 5 again.  I divided my Spring break between my favourite three places and two countries:  island Hvar & Split (in Croatia) and Mostar (in Bosnia and Herzegovina). I visited an art exhibition and that was fun, too. The art exhibition was by Croatian illustrator Filip Čulić. The exhibition included his illustrations and comic book art. It's open until the end of April, so if you're in Split, check it out (more information here ). I love Split's city library. They always organize fun stuff.  Welcome Spring! We welcome thy beauty! We also fear thy evil twin- The Spring Fatigue. Like in a telenovela, one rarely comes without the other. Both are inevitable, so let's just welcome the first and try to manage the other until it perishes (in a slow motion) in a fatal car accident. That's what always happened in the Latin soap operas (i.e telenovelas) that were all the rave when I was a kid (and that are the reason why many Croatian people have a pretty good passive understanding of Spanish without even learning it in school, but I digress).  My point is that the beautiful Spring often comes accompanied with Spring Fatigue that can range from mild tiredness to extreme exhaustion. Let there be colour! (outfit post) / Neka bude boja (odjevna kombinacija)

It was over 40 degrees Celsius (that's over 100 Fahrenheit) when these photographs were taken. Seriously! I'm obviously a desert type when I'm able to enjoy being out at midday in a city that is practically an oven. If you did not know Mostar city is surrounded by mountains and hills which pretty much turns it into an urban oven. Yes, this city is a champion of unbelievably high temperatures during the Summer. So, this hat was as much a necessity as a fashion statement. Wearing a hat when temperature is over 100 Fahrenheit is a sound idea, believe me. Speaking of Fahrenheits,  have you read  Fahrenheit 451  by Ray Bradbury? You should, you know, it really is a brilliant dystopian novel. I find it uncanny how much some writers were able to guess the future, down to minute details. Sights to see, places to visit / Znamenitosti za vidjeti, mjesta za posjetiti -----Goranci

My Sights to see, places to visit feature would surely be missing something if I didn't include this little village Goranci in the list of places to visit. This charming little village is situated in the vicinity of Mostar.  I love to go there to espace the city heat.  If you are into cycling, you'd be happy to hear that you can rent a bike for free. You just need to leave your ID in the restaurant Goranci and you can take the bike. There is a wonderful cycling and pedestrian walk so be sure to check it out. As of recently, there is also a beautiful park at your disposal. This park is growing daily as new things are added to it(toys for kids and that sorts of stuff). Painting of the day (A Lioness) / Slika dana (Lavica)

When I woke up this morning, the first thing I did was walk to the kitchen. Naturally, I was there to make coffee (can’t start a day without it) but while I was at it, I decided to also make a nice cup of warm chocolate. I figured that one can’t have too many warm drinks when the weather is misbehaving. Plus, I wanted something to drink right away, and because preparing coffee my style takes a while (wouldn’t be caught dead drinking instant coffee;)) I opted for warm chocolate first and it was nice but I have to remember to make my own instant coffee again, I’m sure that stuff they sell in shops are full of all kinds of unhealthy stuff. Speaking of health, I have had a cold for a week now, my throat is still sore and my vocal cords are in pitiful state.  I'm not a big fan of my voice right now, but most people seem to like it. With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? In the presence of this lake, I found myself overwhelmed by a feeling of complete calmness, perhaps for the first time in many days. Enchanted by its beauty, I walked into the lake.
