June has been an interesting month with lots of crazy weather changes, but at least we were not bored...
good morning my dear friend Ivana, love all your outfits, you look so lovely in the photos!your dog is sooo cute!!many kisses my friend, wish you a beautiful weekend! http://shoppingtherapy153.blogspot.gr/
I see you are living life to the fullest and leaving nothing to regret. I am so happy you are able to truly enjoy yourself and all the beautiful places life has to offer you! :)))
All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism.
Hello! In this post, I'll share a sustainable baby blue and leopard spring styling. A pale blue might not be the first choice with leopard, but why not? For me leopard print is sort of a classic. I actually love to pair it with all kinds of colours, from more vibrant ones to pales ones. In the past, I paired it with cobalt blue . I definitely do not feel that leopard should be worn only with neutral colours. I mean I paired leopard with white, grey and black clothing items often enough, but I love to pair it with something that pops, be it a coloured or pattern item. I do love patterns. So, it's not surprising that I love to mix patterns. Back to my baby blue & leopard outfit. I wore it for an outing and I really enjoyed it. The best about is that it is sustainable. What do I mean by sustainable? Well, I mean that I not only shopped my closet, but wore most of these items more than thirty times. Mostar is so beautiful in Spring, isn't it? I love strolling the city an
Today I shall review The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak. I was actually gifted this book. What a wonderful present it proved to be! Published in 2021, this postmodern novel follows two story lines and uses framed narration. The Island of Missing Trees tells the life story of a Greek Turkish couple and their adolescent daughter. This novel examines and explores a number of topics such as identity, migration, immigrant life, war trauma, memory, love and family. It's an ambitious novel that examines serious topics with due respect and sensitivity . I read it months ago, but I remember it vividly. Honestly, I cried a lot while reading this novel. It really moved me greatly. In fact, that is probably why it took me this long to finish this book review. I needed to emotionally process the story. The Island of Missing Trees is set in London and Cyprus. The narration isn't chronological . The story jumps back and forth, following two main timelines, one set in moder
Nature Park Blidinje hides a gem of great beauty: magical lake Blidinje. In the presence of this lake, I found myself overwhelmed by a feeling of complete calmness, perhaps for the first time in many days. Enchanted by its beauty, I walked into the lake. While standing in the lake and gazing into the mountains in the distance, I had a feeling that the time itself halted and the great clock of life stood still. It was a kind of mythical experience, when you feel yourself both small and great before the immense and overwhelming natural beauty. I have always loved mountains, being surrounded by them my all life. Still, there is always something surreal about a mountain lake, a particular kind of beauty. A feeling of sacredness came over me. So many people regard mountains as sacred and I can understand why. Gazing at them while the wind played with my hair, and the sun stroked my skin, awoke a particular feeling inside if me, a state of tranquility, you might say. I believe this fee
My Sights to see, places to visit feature would surely be missing something if I didn't include this little village Goranci in the list of places to visit. This charming little village is situated in the vicinity of Mostar. I love to go there to espace the city heat. If you are into cycling, you'd be happy to hear that you can rent a bike for free. You just need to leave your ID in the restaurant Goranci and you can take the bike. There is a wonderful cycling and pedestrian walk so be sure to check it out. As of recently, there is also a beautiful park at your disposal. This park is growing daily as new things are added to it(toys for kids and that sorts of stuff). If you look closely, you'll be able to see that some decorative trees are still being planted at the enterance to this park. You can read some of my previous posts about this village here , here and here .
Today I'm happy to share with you a wonderful fashion show I attended last Friday at Mostar International Fair. As you might remember, I regularly visit Mostar International Fair. Anyhow, this time I was there to see and support a really special fashion show. This fashion show showed creations from students who attended a fashion sewing and design course held by designer Stanka Zovko. If you remember, a few years back I attended this sewing and design course myself. I was invited to present my creations as well. I couldn't participate myself this year due to previous engagements, but who knows maybe next year I'll get the chance. How amazing would it be to participate as a fashion designer? Still, I'm sure you can imagine how excited I was just to attend this fashion show and see all the designs. It was such a terrific experience. HR Zdravo!
Time for another Fashion Illustration Friday talk. We'll talk autumn and share some new autumn inspired fashion illustrations & outfits. Autumn is a season with one of the most beautiful colour palettes. Just think about all those gorgeous gold and red leaves! Even the fruits of Autumn are visually stunning, for example the delicious and juicy fruits such as pomegranates and grapes. With so much to appeal to our senses, it's hard not to be appreciative of autumn. It is a stunning season indeed, so small wonder I was inspired to create some fashion art. Scroll down to see and read more. AUTUMN COLOUR COMBOS TO CONSIDER Besides enjoying the colours of autumn, I sure love wearing colour in autumn, and that's what I'll write about today. Whether we're talking about accessories or clothes, a bit of colour can take us a long way. Here are some illustrated & photographed colour combos to consider. RED AND GREEN Is it too early to start reaching fo
Hello, how are you doing? How is Autumn treating you? Unfortunately, I cannot say that I'm doing very well. I'm dealing with a lot of chronic pain due to Chron illness. Getting medical help in the pandemic is not easy. Those of you who have chronic and immune illnesses know what I'm talking about. Not an easy time for us. I might have to take a break from blogging (or blog less often) as I'm really exhausted from being in pain most of the time. Moving onto brighter subjects. Today I will share two destinations perfect for strolling and two 'strolling friendly' outfits with you. Čapljina and Buna are great destinations for strolling around, walking and hiking. Both of them are in Herzegovina. I'll share two sporty floral outfits with you, both of them featuring an iconic pair of Startas sneakers. I love this Croatian brand. I'm pretty sure I'm over 30 wears with this pair of sneakers so I might devote a post to them some time in the future, showing
The first thing I really took notice of in Mostar city, back in the day, when I arrived to study here, were these trees. I'm still fascinated by them. If you want to know the story about them, you can read it one of my old blog posts ( here .) Još uvijek me oduševljavaju. Želite li znati njihovu priču, možete je pročitati u jednoj od mojih starijih objava ( ovdje .) dress/haljina: dresslink ( here ) blazer/sako: no name bag/torba: handmade, ručni rad Boots/čizme: Peko dress/haljina: dresslink ( here ) blazer/sako: no name bag/torba: handmade , ručni rad Boots/čizme: Peko dress/haljina: dresslink ( here ) blazer/sako: no name bag/torba: handmade, ručni rad Boots/čizme: Peko I'm quite satisfied with the fact that I managed to style this cherry dress ( here ) for Autumn. The arrival of spring has been bittersweet. On one hand, it is always beautiful to watch the rebirth of nature, but on the other there is so much anxiety, fear and suffering in the world right now. Perhaps the outfit I'm wearing today is a good metaphor for that. An all black look with some colourful accents. Sometimes I look around me and marvel at all the beauty and yet at the same time I'm aware that dark times might well be ahead of us. Darkness and Light . I suppose that's life. Crna kombinacija s nekim dodacima u boji. Ponekad gledam oko sebe i divim se ljepoti a opet u isto vrijeme dobro znam kako nam se vjerojatno spremaju teška vremena. Tama i svijetlo. Takav je život. “What redemption there is in being loved: w
